PRESENTATION: "How to Become a Faster Programmer" by Micah Wood, Bluehost.

Are you an efficient developer? Even though you focus on DRY code, do you find yourself typing the same things over and over? No matter how hard you try, there will always be code structures that are repetitive. The key is being able to detect the patterns and leverage automation to speed up the process.

Join us as we map out the development lifecycle and take a closer look at opportunities for improving programming efficiency. We will do a deep dive into the 5 types of templates that PHPStorm has to offer and how we can leverage our time using code generation. Start 2019 right and learn how to optimize your development workflow!

About Micah: Micah Wood is a WordPress Developer at Bluehost (https://www.bluehost.com/). A professional WordPress developer for over a decade, Micah has worked on sites for Fortune 100 companies, has released over a dozen WordPress plugins (https://profiles.wordpress.org/woodent#content-plugins), is a frequent speaker at WordCamps, co-organizes the WordPress Gwinnett meetup (https://www.meetup.com/WordPress-Gwinnett/), is a co-host on the WP Square One podcast (http://wpsquareone.com/) and shares his knowledge by blogging on WordPress development topics (https://wpscholar.com/).

New Meeting Feature: Open Spaces! We're going to continue with a new discussion format among attendees. Please come with some questions or discussion topics in mind. The group will vote on suggestions and we'll cover things, based on interest, in a rotating panel style. Come share your expertise!
