Manager of Web Innovations for eCore and eMajor, University System of Georgia

Position Type: Administrative

Department: eCore Center

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (ABET certified preferred), 5 years of experience in Web Programming Technology and 3 years of progressive managerial experience or a combination of education and experience. Strong management and leadership skills, and the ability to work in the capacity of leader in a team environment as well as independently, handling multiple projects. Broad knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems. Skill in effective oral and written communication. Ability to lead and coach a diverse and highly technical group of individuals. Ability to work with cross organizational teams. Working knowledge and strong fundamental understanding of Web Based content management systems. Knowledge of HTML/XML, JavaScript, Oracle SQL, MySQL, ANSI SQL, PHP, PERL, CGI, Java integration, Shell Programming, and Apache.

Salary: 80,004 minimum

Nature of Work: Develop and oversee innovative, complex interactive websites for multiple projects, primarily USG collaborative programs, to include eCore (http://ecore.usg.edu) and eMajor (http://emajor.usg.edu). Responsible for entire website presence.

Physical requirements/working conditions: May require evening or weekend work to meet critical deadlines.
