PHP Developer 

Job Description

·         Interface with business users, customers and vendors to gather requirements, implement, maintain and troubleshoot various systems to support company goals and objectives

·         Design, code, test and administer multiple web applications on LAMP stack.

Tasks and Activities

·         Experience with SQL or MYSQL server, Apache and/or IIS, PHP, Linux, Database maintenance, VoIP technology, Softphone application settings, Remote access software, VMware server virtualization technologies, Diverse Internet access technologies, Internet access settings and troubleshooting, Wireless systems, Online backup software, Cloud Computing, etc.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills.

·         Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing web sites and web applications using PHP and MySQL.

·         Experience with SugarCRM

·         Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IT systems or technologies.

·         Experience with Incident management systems.

·         Excellent knowledge of inter dependencies between information systems and infrastructure.

·         Experience working with Microsoft Enterprise products such as Windows 8, MS Office 2010/2012

·         Experience with Google Apps and Google Sites

·         Experience with Active Directory

·         Experience with desktop virtualization such as Microsoft virtual PC, or VMware.

·         Experience with common applications such as Mozilla Firefox/Google Chrome settings, Antivirus,

·         Desktop firewalls and Adobe Acrobat

Organizational Position

·         Reporting to the CTO, this position will often work within an operational team (day­to­day maintenance activities) or a project team (deliver a specific objective). There may also be interaction with Help Desk teams, end users, project managers, and managers.

Qualifications & Certifications

A degree such as a Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor in Computer Science is desired.
