APIs are the backbone of modern web applications. Whether they be
used as a access point for AJAX queries, mobile apps, 3rd party
integrations or just general data feeds, your applications’ API often
needs the ability to access everything. Securing the API consequently is
essential to the security of your application. This talk will cover the
various types of APIs common in web applications, the security issues
relevant with the various API types and methods for securing your APIs,
and slowing down the hackers.
