Thompson Technologies is seeking a Sr. PHP Developer on either a contract-to-hire or direct hire for a client located in the Marietta/Smyrna area of Atlanta, GA. This is a great time to join a small team (currently 2 developers and the CTO), to create and maintain backend PHP/MySQL systems. You will play a critical role in designing and building a new ERP system for the organization to support their leading e-Commerce site. To be successful in this role, you will have strong development skills working with PHP and MySQL.

Requirements:

• Develop features across multiple subsystems within their applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
• Support and maintain existing eCommerce and Fulfillment systems
• At least 5 years of application development and maintenance experience
• Have expert skills in PHP Developer and well versed in Object Oriented Programming & MVC patterns (Zend, CodeIgniter, Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP, etc)
• Strong SQL skills and MySQL / Relational DB Experience
• Expertise in Linux / Unix environments
• Github expertise
• eCommerce experience - preferred
• Magento Enterprise development experience - preferred.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript – preferred
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
