PHP Senior Developer Needed - We are building next generation systems from ground up

Okinus, Inc., a leading provider of lease purchase financing services to consumers throughout the United States, is looking to add a Software Developer to our talented team. You will work as a software/web developer for all software development projects.

We are currently in the processing of building our next generation system from the ground up.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with operations, underwriting and staff to create custom software solutions
  
• Developing new applications and providing enhancements to existing systems
  
• Coordinating software development efforts with external software development team members
  
• Business process re-engineering (automating and/or simplifying existing processes)
  
• Writing scope/requirements definitions for the creation of software applications
  
• Test and deploy custom software solutions
  
• Development of robust and user-friendly PHP based web applications
  
• Design and creation of relational database schemas using MS SQL Server
  
• Application/Framework design as needed
  
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of organization's timelines and budgets
  
• Routine daily maintenance of existing sites and applications
  
• Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication
  
• Other tasks as needed for successful project completion
  

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of progressive professional experience in the software development field
  
• Strong OOP development experience
  
• Experience developing database tables and efficient queries
  
• Experience with XML, JSON data models
  
• Experience with Git version control system
  

Desired Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information systems or Computer Science
  
• Ability to work in Agile/SCRUM environment
  
• Experience with PHP development
  
• Experience with MongoDB
  
• Test Driven Development
  
• Experience with web development technologies - JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery,
  
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012
