PHP Programmer Position in Kennesaw, GA

Nucleus Medical Media currently has an opportunity for a capable web developer to join our development team in Kennesaw, Georgia, and hit the ground running. This position requires an understanding of web development, the software development process, and a familiarity with underlying web application architectures. Applicants will be asked to provide source code samples. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in health literacy.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of sites and web apps from provided designs using standard PHP/HTML/CSS/Javascript practices
  
• Design and creation of relational database schemas
  
• Application/framework design and implementation
  
• Specifications/requirements gathering and documentation
  
• Routine daily maintenance of existing sites and applications
  
• Communicate regularly with managers and project managers
  
• Manage completion of assigned tasks, recording time worked
  
• Other responsibilities as assigned for successful project completion

Desired Skills and Experience

• Two or more years of recent web site development experience, with demonstrably solid PHP skills
  
• Experience with Javascript, jQuery, and HTML5
  
• Experience creating database-driven sites that are maintainable and cleanly implemented
  
• Experience with and affinity for object oriented programming practices
  
• Ability to develop in a plain text editor, without WYSIWYG tools
  
• Confident, capable, and pleasant communicator with the ability to both write and speak clearly and concisely
  
• Experience assessing a task, formulating an approach to completing the task, and implementing the solution
  
• Willing to become a permanent, full-time, onsite employee during ordinary business hours
