Petition for Special Meeting of Town Council on the new library

The location of the new upgraded Town library has become a very controversial issue. Here is a citizens' petition for a Special Meeting of the Town Council with an agenda that gives the citizens the opportunity to speak out on various aspects of this issue. 

If you agree that such a meeting is appropriate then please sign the petition.

Dear Town Council,

 Thank you for taking the leadership on this issue. 

I recommend that you vote tomorrow to place this issue before the voters ( an action within the scope of the agendized item) and then vote to schedule an agenda item on July 18 to work out the details of such a vote ( an action also within the scope of the agendized item).

Attached is another special City Council meeting being held at noon tomorrow. This agenda is to allow Council to add an item to their regular July 18 meeting to call an election to submit to the voters an ordinance providing for a vote on the location of the library. This meeting will take place after the 930 a.m. special meeting (continuance of the June 20^th regular meeting - attached). The location of both meetings will be held in the City Council Chambers.
