Pinboard

I gathered all the pinboards I could find by the wall next to the door where I think we should put them (after a second coat of paint). I remember hearing someone else talk about the doing the same thing a couple months ago and about putting something else on the wall above it? What are peoples thoughts on this before I screw them to the wall?
