can anybody help how to install APE server on VPS.. im using ubuntu server 10.10
i got this error

but on my local computer i have an APE Server and it is working great.. 
i don't know how to setup APE correctly on the VPS..
can anyone please help me with this..

Besides the configuration, the installation should be pretty much the same. If you are using a package try the binary installation, is painless

I used have APE running on a VPS. As far as I can remember, no special configuration was necessary.

Make sure your DNS are properly setup. http://0.bid.f3bids.com:6969 should point to your server and show an APE message.

the ape server is working on http://bids.f3bids.com:6969/ but when the APE server is accessing http://0.bids.f3bids.com:6969 its not working... any idea sir??

Hello.

In your DNS settings *.bids.f3bids.com should point to your
server.

I have no set the proper DNS records or added the entries to your host file

sir it is working with my friends computer when he access the test but with me its not working..
can you please check what is the result you can check it here sir..

THANKS A LOT.. it's working now.. the 0.bids.f3bids.com is not working on me but greater than 0 is working.. i don't know what's the problem.. but all in all it's working great.. thanks to all who help :D

Maybe you can't use a wildcard for the frequency with CNAME?
With an A record you can point the *.bids in the DNS.
