Hi all, apologies if this is the wrong place to post this but I am currently looking to host some WMS files externally from work for a archaeological portal with a base map national mapping line data overlaying it. I wondered if anyone has had any good experiences with hosting suppliers or bad ones that I should avoid? Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Lawrence

We've used BuyVM.com (aka Frantech.ca) for generic Linux VSs for a couple of years. Servers based in Las Vegas and New York, I think. Very cheap (from US$50/year) and we've had no problems. Ian

Lawrence:
I don’t think I quite understand your use case. Is WMS a hard requirement, or are you looking for a solution (more generically expressed) to host raster basemap tiles for web mapping applications? If the latter, may I suggest mapbox.com? We use them for http://pleiades.stoa.org .
