News on the ESP32 version

Hi all,

I want just discover the next Annex RDS version coming for the ESP32.

It is still not ready to be published but I would like to share just some demo videos and pictures I did some time ago.

I developed a special PCB for this project that hosts a TFT display plus several additional modules.

Terrific news. I'm very much looking forward to Annex32. I hadn't seen the ESP32 mini PCBs before--I've ordered some from Aliexpress in anticipation.

Can you post the design files or gerbers for the TFT pcb? I'd like to order some from JLCPCB to have on hand when the software is released.

I don't plan to release the gerbers for the PCB but, depending on the requests, I could sell some.

This is amazing! Annex on the ESP8266 is already a dream come true, and soon on the ESP32, well that is truly a beautiful thing!!!! Can't wait to try this. Never touched a 32, but now I will order a couple for this! Thank you cicciocb!!!!!

Too bad--but I'd be interested in purchasing 2. What price are you considering (including shipping to Canada), and how do I get my name on a list?

I still not defined the price as it should be a PCB with all the SMD component already soldered on it.

This should permit to anyone to play easily with it as soldering the SMD is not for everybody.

Probably it will be a kind of kit where only the modules must be installed (so a PCB ready to use already tested).

In addition I'll release the 3D file for the container so people will be able to build themselves the box with a 3d printer.

In function of the requests, I'll define the price that should not be excessive, maximum 20€.

The objective is to have a module complete with the TFT 3.2" and all the modules for a price below the m5stack.

I bought an ESP32-DEVKITC board https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272840102787 when I heard about the upcoming Annex version.  Currently using with Arduino IDE to get familiar with the hardware.
Would be interested to see available I/O details of your board and if possible a schematic when you have time.

Many thanks for the schematic - it makes it much clearer.

I had to look up the chips/modules as I am not familiar with any of them.

I did note that TI have a warning that PCM5102 is "not recommended for new designs" http://www.ti.com/product/PCM5102 being replaced with the 5102A - but I have not found any details of the differences.
