What I tried was a simple 3-phone topology.
+-----+ +-----+ +-----+
| 1 |---------------| 2 |---------------| 3 |
+-----+ +-----+ +-----+
Phone 2 acts as the owner of the group or AP. I tried to make phone 1 broadcast (by sending to a broadcast address), and phone 3 can not receive the broadcast packet, which is kind of expected.
Because I'm currently working on a network that takes advantage of broadcast (
NDN), so what I really want is:
1) The 3 phones can act as an equal participant, i.e., any phone can broadcast and the other two phones can receive the broadcast packets. Assuming all three phones can hear each other, then broadcast is the nature way to go, as wireless communication is broadcast in nature.
2) Ideally, I would also like to skip the phase of establishment of peer connection or group, as I don't really care who is the peer because it's all broadcast communication and we will have a name for each packet in
NDN.
