Error building Gingerbread: Cannot find libpthread.so.0

Hi,

I am trying to build Gingerbread on 64 bit Ubuntu 10.10. However I am
getting the following error.

prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/i686-linux-glibc2.7-4.4.3/bin/../lib/gcc/
i686-linux/4.4.3/../../../../i686-linux/bin/ld: cannot find
libpthread.so.0
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [out/host/linux-x86/obj/EXECUTABLES/emulator_intermediates/
emulator] Error 1

Did anyone face this issue previously?

maybe you should have a look at source.android.com. It describes how to build the android building environment.
