A carjacking in Arizona ended when the suspect shot himself in the head today as footage of the incident was broadcast live on Fox News Channel.

A chopper covered the high-speed chase along I-10 outside Phoenix. Initial reports indicated that a victim may have remained in the stolen car.

The rest of the story is all over the internets.

That's entertainment! Here is the vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSSHjipEt1A

I score it "point goes to the shooter". Kinda hard to argue with
success, doncha know, and that looked like a pretty successful suicide
to me.

Bonus points for the cheering section's encouraging "get of get off get
off get off" chant for those who were fapping along.

Huh? Wuddaya mean he wasn't encouraging the fappers? Yer claimin' he was
trying to get the feed shut down? Nah... I ain't buying it. Not fer a
second! He was trying to help those on the edge of spooging reach the
top, man! Sheesh... Some people and their inability to perceive!

It ain't the bullet with my name on it that I'm afraid of - There's no dodging
that one. It's the one addressed "To whom it may concern" that worries me.

Run of the mill bullshit. The same thing happened a day earlier in
Orlando when a gang banger killed his former girl friend and another
girl that was her friend and then shot another bitch without killing
her. When the cops spotted him in a stolen car and chased him, the
public offender put his gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger at
speed.

some executive at fox - hell, probably all of them - is watching the
frenzy with a gleam in his eye and thinking "there's a show in this
somewhere."

I call that the "belt and suspenders" approach to suicide.

I recently read about a comparable incident wherein somebody
offed himself by jumping off the (~400-foot high) Auburn Ravine
Bridge in Northern California, and sucked off a pistol within seconds
of clearing the railing.

The silver lining was that, if there's any truth to those "near-death
experience" stories, he got to see his own dead body burst into
bloody chunks on impact with the river rocks below. What a going-away
present!
