Incredible. They score like they are playing backyard football.

I'm sitting here watching them toy with the Bills. These guys are
definitely wired differently. Rule of Thumb - don't piss off Billy Boy!
Might as well vicariously enjoy their success - we may never see another
team like this in our lifetime - even if those ego-centric Bostonians are
too full of themselves.

The Steelers game on 12/09 is definitely a must see. It's supposed to be
a 4:15 game but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't "flex" it to the 8
PM game.

Fair winds and following seas,

Yeah, this is an elite team. You never know though. They could catch bad
weather in the playoffs or have something freaky happen.

I do think they are a little better than the Browns. :)

too bad brady wasn't back on the field in ann arbor saturday.

the TD that made it 42-7 pretty much said it all. moss just went and
turned around and stood there and brady threw the ball to him.

Personally I think they are gonna kick the shit out of Pittsburgh and I'll
love every minute of it. A few weeks ago I thought Pitt might give em a run
for their money but as of now, I've changed my tune.

Yeah... I never bought into the pundit hype over P'burgh either.

but yeah, the patriots are just in their own league offensively so far
this season. our loss doesn't seem so bad compared to how they've
ripped apart some other teams - but i wonder if bellichek was somehow
being nice to crennel by choosing not to run up the score.

I think history (post '99) has you guys guarded against the possibilities of
prolonged success. Personally I feel that the Browns have the key players in
place for the consistency to compete within this division which has always
been one of the best. Grant it the division is not the strongest it has been
in the past say 20 years but it is still upwardly competitive (for the
moment). Rare is it that a team winning the AFCN isn't dubbed a serious SB
contender though this season could very well be one of the first. Some key
acquisitions and the Browns could reign atop the AFCN for a few years I
think.

Make me wonder what Chargers owner Spanos was thinking in hiring Norv.
Part of it is probably that he fired Marty rather late. Maybe he thought
Norv would have learned from his past head coaching jobs and upgraded
his skills?

Serves him right for short-changing Marty. Modell learned the same way
when the team went south under Bud Carson.

My guess is he didn't do that. Belichick seems "by the book" when it
comes to doing what he's paid to do. Hence, he had no qualms about
"running up" the score in games like the last one against the Bills.
Bills coach Dick Jauron is reportedly a good buddy of Belichick's.

yeah, but that 51-0 drubbing of the steelers sure was a great start.
still, IIRC carson's problem was that his personality kept from kept a
real shot at a HC job - the only other person who might have hired him
would have been al (do you mind my bootmarks all over your scalp?)
davis. modell was the guy calling ths shots during carson's tenure. i
think turner is screwing it up entirely on his own (but maybe with
help from the GM).

then maybe crennel is good enough (and maybe familiar with the quirks
in the pats' offense) that he managed to coach a scheme that held the
pats to under 40 points!

Ehh there were times, late in that game where they were still throwing the
ball around. I remember a 4th and 1 I believe where they threw the ball.

Now it maaaaaaay have been the players slacking off a little because they
were playing what was perceived as a crappy team but I don't think Bill Beli
laid down at all.
