Started listening and heard a reflection (in other words) of the Sant Mat, Rhadasoami, Ruhani Satsang, Sar Bachan teachings that Paul Twitchell was already familiar with by 1967; and after becoming a Ruhani Satsang initiate years before.

It seemed to me that what Paul said was not anything entirely new, especially with regard to the master being both the inner and outer master in a single person. This was echoed in The Path Of The Masters where Paul evidently had (by the time of his published book The Far Country in early 1970s; manuscript believed written earlier) plagiarized sections about "the master" and made believe the words had come from an ancient ("said to be" more than 500 years old) Tibetan Lama by the name of Rebazar Tarzs.

Why couldn't Paul have simply referenced his plagiarized sources instead of his citing the names of Eck Masters? Would it not have been possible to create an "Eckankar" company / corporation / religion otherwise?

My argument is that sacrificing actual history and true events (replacing them with pseudo history and events) in the process appears a reckless and naive concession which, in the end, will probably do more harm than good.

Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and others have presented varied modern and ancient interpretations of themselves to the extent where not all agree and sects within the same basic religion fought one another. Also, religions have fought one another and swept up many innocent people in the process. So the idea that gurus are at liberty to change history, to plagiarize, to speak about other people and religions as if God, Spirit or some divine force had moved them to do it should be challenged and not accepted as though everything said is / was the literal truth.

I think it fair to say that a lot of discussions here on a.r.e. are about the alleged truth about something and other people criticizing / checking and most of all asking for verification and proof of what has been claimed. I see this as a very normal part of social discourse.

So in one sense a person could say so what about Sant Mat, Rhadasoami, Ruhani Satsang, Ekankar and Eckankar. So what about Haanel, Neville, Goldsmith, Mundy, Khan and the host of other authors whose writings found a way into Eckankar books under the guise of Eck Masters. In other words, so what what anybody claims to be the case about God, Masters and history unless it can be proven.

People said lots of things in the past they thought were true, or that many, many people accepted. Things that later turned out to be proven imaginations only and false. So some people will take a healthy skeptical attitude, but for that they should not be marginalized, scorned or maligned simply because some others have come to entertain a pet belief that won't go away.

I would like to see Paul Twitchell alive to today and to answer for the plagiarisms and the lies. Instead so many apologists have attempted to as if answer for him, by sharing what they think Paul would say; or what they thought he felt / intended. I remember Marman trying to minimize things with the idea that Paul was just having fun. Or Paul didn't care.

How strange that some people today adopt the same attitude where they think that making up things is fun and if you call them on it they don't care. This is reckless behavior in my opinion and should not altogether be condoned. I look forward to hearing the rest of the tape from a time pre-Mahanta The Living Eck Master trademark, and Eckankar religion, etc.

(which in some global eck circles has become spoken of and acted upon as

what the words mean in the first place. (as put out by twichell, but then
again he changed what he said every time he spoke or wrote a book ... shrug)

check from 20 mins to 27 mins ... "I am happy to do the Prayer"

"and if they say no we have no right to INTRUDE or enter into their home or
state of consciousness"

"if we make postulates for other people then we are directing their lives"

"this is why eck is the individualised path of Freedom"

"god is simply light and sound"

and then there's from 19 minutes about "those who intentionally try to hurt us"

aka "people have no right to interfere in our own life"

that includes no rights to Lie about others, to defame them, to make postulates
about others (eg "shitting their pants") is an intentional interference in
another's Freedom ... so says Paul Twitchell.

Sure is. But it's impossible to have a proper communication with someone who is
mentally ill, an alcoholic or a drunk, a serious drug abuser, or delusional.

I have also found that it is impossible to do that with people who have adopted
false beliefs, be it AGW isn't happening, the Bible says the earth is only 8000
years old, or that Twitchell told the Truth about Eckankar and eck masters etc
etc etc .... it's a "belief" that he knew what he was talking about, and was
competent as a lecturer, an author, as a teacher, and as the head of the org
Eckankar.

So much for the "doctrine of eck" by Twitchell.

What I notice is that you continue this...why would you ever expect them to be the same as when Paul Twitchell was alive? The very idea is utterly ridiculous and appears as a desperate attempt to discredit the teachings, since you have decided that they are worthless to you. For any teaching to be a living one, it MUST develop, and in case you didn't know, that means change.

However I must comment that you stop insisting on giving me all of this credit. Your own shortsightedness causes you to see things in this way, but the idea of an incompetent fool also being a manipulator is quite the contradiction.
