Before this show (actually last weekend when I bought the ticket) I
noticed on their website that the girls have an open taping policy. So,
being the double-dork buttrash music geek that I am, I decided to bring
my new digital camcorder (http://tinyurl.com/chocj) that I bought for
next weekend's me'n deeniner Tennessee-type Sleepytime jaunt (and
beyond)

So I get to the Croc and ask the doorman if the club allows taping,
they tell me only if the girls say it's OK, otherwise I'd have to take
the camcorder to my car. Of course, I don't *drive* a car, I took 3
city buses to get there, 25 miles. So, I have to wait for Amanda or
Abby to happen along by the front door.

So Amanda shows up between the 1st act (I forget the name) and Blanche,
whom I've heard good things about and wanted to see. However, I fail to
get her attention and she's gone before I can get her OK to let me & my
evil camcorder into the venue. So I resume the wait.

Then just about Midnight (I got there an 9pm) I *finally* get to talk
to Amanda, & she as usual is *totally* nice & tells the doorman that
she's OK with me & my naughty camcorder.

I get in *just* in time to miss Blanche. Yay. Oh, well...

The DB *short* (46 minutes) set was terrific. And I have the video
proof. The tape turned out pretty well, at least for a 1 perspective
handheld by a total knucklehead type o' deal. The guy next to me talked
too much (and too loud) about worthless bullshit, tho (obviously
oblivious to the notion that he was fucking up my tape) but it (the
tape, soon to be a DVD-R near you) is still worth having. Tomorrow I'm
a-gonna learn about transferrin' Mini-DV to DVD-R (actually DVD+R). As
for now, I'm goin' to bed. Nighty-Night.

I just stumbled across some *big* news for the girls here:
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/050620/089032.html. This could be an absolutely
*huge* break for the lovely Amanda & Abby. Somehow I doubt they'll let
me bring my camcorder to *this* event, tho...
ftss, needs to figure out where the hell *this* venue is. Woodinville
is *such* a burg...
