Please recommend some depressing, suicidal BM; the more, the better.
Also, is Deinonychus worth listening to as far as fitting into the
aofrementioned statement?

Hefeystos "Vilce Sjen" kills.

But avoid the other albums, they're not blackmetal at all.

Stay as far away from them as you possibly can.

The last three Deinonychous CD's are indeed intended to be depressing and
suicidal, but are sadly also boring as hell. The demo-on-CD "After the rain
falls an empty sky remains" is excellent though, but it's more
"traditional" BM in scope, not specifically depressing/suicidal. Tried
Katatonia, Paragon of Beauty or Bethlehem?

Possibly try Songe D'Enfer from Brazil, or Blut Aus Nord from France
(specially "Ultima Thulée"). Malvery from Québec proclam them self suicidal
black metal, but personnally I don't find it really depressive : there promo
was very depresive, but they have change a little bite there style on the
cd, and it's least interesting I find..

Personnally, I don't find it really depressive, just slow.. but possibly
that I just don't catch it because that I don't like it..

This album is fantastic imo. Not sure I find it depressing really, but it´s
very obscure in a certain, very original way. Do you happen to know if the
band broke up? While I didn't really like Memoria Vetusta Part 1 that much,
I would still like to check out Part 2 if it ever got released.

I think Malvery are far more goofy then depressing.

Try:

Abyssic Hate (Aus): 'Suicidal Emotion'
Belenos (Fra): Anything.'Notre amour eternal' is especially good, although hard
to come by.
Song D'Enfer (Bra): yep
Blessed in Sin (Fra): 'Odes Obscure' demo (killlzzzz)
Geasa (Ire): Last two tracks from the 'Starside' demo (arghhhhhh...)
Anatomy (Aus): 'Where Dead Angels Lie' (at least they keyboard only parts...)
Katatonia (Swe): anything up to, and including 'Brave Murder Day'
Marhoth (Pol)

...and some of the keyboard heavy Burzum stuff + Bethlehem if you can learn to
appreciate it.

Majority of this band are good... but I really don't find any of them
depressive...

Yes! Total obscure and depressive Black/Death

I prefer "Again Shall Be", but both albums are great mid paced heavy BM

Forgotten Tomb. The first MCD was sometimes really depressive, and the new
full-lenght CD (out March/May 2001)
will be definitively pure Depressive Black Metal, something in between
Abyssic Hate, old Katatonia, old Burzum, Dolorian. If you like this kind of
stuff, you must listen to Forgotten Tomb.
The web-site will be on line soon (February 2001).
If you want to recive other infos or to be notified when the site will be
on-line send an e-mail to:
