I'm looking for the U.S. Army ranks. I have already got pictures of
them.
But I'm not sure if the names belong to the rank pictures in the right
way. So, does anyone have a complete and right picture of the ranks?
And which ranks belong to the class of noncommissioned officers and to
the lower class (pvts and so, don't knwo the name of this group). The
class of officiers are already known.
Hoping for answers

Squeezed in here is the rank of "cadet" (silver circle) which is
technically an officer rank, held by ROTC/USMA cadets who are temporarily
on duty with a regular unit.
Also, canidates at OCS (Officer Canidate School) wear gold "O.C." meaning
Officer Canidate. Those at WOCS (Warrent Officer Canidate School) wear
gold "W.O.C" to indicate Warrent Officer Canidate.
Officers
O1 Second Lieutenant 2LT Gold Bar
O2 First Lieutenant 1LT Silver Bar
O3 Captain CPT 2 silver bars, connected "railroad tracks"
O4 Major MAJ Gold Oak Leaf
O5 Lieutenant Colonel LTC Silver Oak Leaf
O6 Colonel COL Silver Eagle
O7 Brigadier General BG 1 silver star
O8 Major General MG 2 silver stars
O9 Lieutenant General LTG 3 silver stars
O10 General GEN 4 silver stars
O10 General of the Army 5 silver stars arranged in pentagon
This rank is only created in wartime. The last General of the Army
was Omar Bradley.
There also exists the rank of "General of the Armies" senior to General of
the Army. It was held only by General Pershing. George Washington was
posthumously promoted to that rank permenantly by an Act of Congress in
1976. All ranks higher than LTG are held "temporarily", it taking an Act
of Congress to make those ranks permenant.
All colors given are full-color. Subdued insignia is black for enlisted
personell, and for officers with silver insignia. Brown replaced gold
officer insignia. Warrent officers wear green bars with black squares.

Error Here - true for ROTC, not for USMA. USMA cadets on CTLT wear
the West Point crest as their rank. I lived with 8 USMA cadets during
CTLT at Ft. Irwin. None had 'pips' or had seen them.

A Corporal's abbreviation is CPL
>>Spec-4 Spec Badge
The E-4 is called Specialist now. Been like that since
`88 or so. They decided that since there weren't any Spec-5
or Spec-6's anymore, it was redundant.
