I'm not a bible thumper myself. But I'm going to give you an example which
illustrates that their beliefs are not based on hate but based on an
unyielding belief that the bible, hence God states that queer actions are
wrong. Think of the last presidential election. It is a fact that the
reason the impeached scumbag won was because millions of southern bible
thumpers stayed home. The reason they stayed home was because Dole would
not enthusiatically commit to the prolife movement. These people would
not compromise even though Dole was certainly more closed aligned with
their conservative beliefs then the scumbag was. They stayed home because
they believed (believe) that to vote for someone who was not prolife would
be contrary to God's laws and would result in their own respective
journeys to hell. Hence, their uncomprising beliefs really hurt the
conservative movement...but that's not a consideration to them. My point
is regardless of the outcome the beliefs of the hardcore bible thumpers
are what matters to them not hate.
