Thanks,
Dave
Tiro Libre = Free Kick
Saco De Meta = Goal Kick - When a shot to goal is missed and the goal keeper
puts the ball back in play
Tiro De Esquina = Corner Kick
Saco de Banda(o) = Trow In
Futbolistica o Futbolera = Can be used as an adjetive (aficion Fubolistica
refers to soccer fans as a group)
Fuera de Lugar o Fuera de juego = Off Side
There are also tons of common terms that are more regional when you talk
about soccer, for example. Passing the ball between a player of the oposite
team is called in Colombia a Galleta the word for cookie, and in Mexico a
Tunel word for Tunel. So depending on where the comentator is from you
might get some different terms.
I will be more than happy to help you out with other terms, just post them
how they sound to you and I will translate them for you, I will also pay
attention today when I watch Argentina - England I watched the first half
and recorded the second one, I still want to watch it even though I know the
score.
Hope this helps
John

diccionario)
