An isolated redneck community have abandoned conventional religions and
put their faith in an unseen force that lives in a pit in the woods. They
believe that they will be free from illness providing they sacrifice
members of their community when the pit selects them. Ada is a young
teenage girl who has gotten pregnant by her brother. To make matters
worse, she discovers that she has been chosen as the next sacrifice.

This is a quirky and interesting little movie and I enjoyed it. The story
doesn't really go anywhere and some people may complain that it's all a
bit pointless, but like a merry-go-round, the fun is in the ride, not a
destination.

In article <krvhaf$daj$1...@dont-email.me>,
Tempting but I'm not quite sold on it. I'll make a note, though, and if
i have time I'll give it a shot.

Well, they'll be at least as civilized as conventional religions.
At least they are sacrificing one at at a time instead of pulling
terrorist bombings and committing mass-murder.
