Exposing a scam...

Folks, when someone offers to help raise working capital for the newsgroup
AHWW, please don't get caught up in the scam. Usenet is pretty much run free
of charge, and this newsgroup certainly doesn't have a treasurer or a
"working capital" load.

You can rest assured that the only thing gaining by such a scam is the
original poster of the scam. Please, keep your money in your pockets. No one
is gonna benefit from these scams. There is no such thing as "working
capital" for this, or any, newsgroup.

If someone is asking you to "please help" by buying a few cookbooks, or
anything else, you can just kiss your money goodbye. You are only lining
their pockets, not helping the newsgroup.

Maybe that is why people think we are so bad. Maybe they are paying money to
some scam artist because they think they need to to post here. Really folx,
you just need an ISP to post here, stop paying that third party, you don't
need to. Plus, you could always just search for cooking tips on the internet
and save yourself a few bucks.
