UAH has released its data for the TLT and TMT upper atm series v6.

As announced on Roy Spencer's blog early in the month, the TLT for the
globe came in at +.27C over the ~1980s making Apr 2017 the 5th warmest
of the 39 year series.

For the TMT middle troposphere series Apr 2017 saw +.21C over the
~1980s making that the 6th warmest in that series.

The various other regions of interest for the 2 series are:

Suncor admits climate change will turn its business upside down
National Observer, 20 Apr 2017
A giant in Canada's oil patch is admitting climate change will turn its
business upside down, but it isn't ready to throw in the towel on oil any
time soon.
Calgary-based Suncor Energy made these admissions in a new report examining
how climate change will affect its bottom line, noting that new technology
and social change will also trigger some dramatic shifts in the market.
The company admits in the document that demand for gasoline will decrease,
partly due to hybrids, electric vehicles and fuel efficiency standards
playing a larger role.

Suncor Energy files for Alberta oilsands project approval
Globalnews.ca, 08 May 2017 2:54 pm
Suncor Energy says it will apply this year for provincial regulatory
permission to build a new Alberta oilsands project that could eventually
produce up to 160,000 barrels per day.
The Lewis project hasn't been officially sanctioned by Suncor, but the
company says construction on its first phase may begin in 2024.
The project is located about 25 kilometres northeast of Fort McMurray in
northern Alberta.
Suncor says it will consider using new technologies including vaporized
solvents and electromagnetic heating to replace steam to produce the heavy
bitumen crude through wells at Lewis, thus using less energy and water.
