Has any reason ever been offered as to why no patterns exist to make shoulders,
capes, wristbands, and masks?

-Agent of Satan, but my duties are largely ceremonial.

I think they said it would be "unbalancing" for low level characters to have
a full set of patchwork. Although if you're in Halas, you can get one off
one of the merchants for a very simple quest....

Actually it was probably for Caps. Very close though.

Better than that. Why is there no mold to make banded gloves? There is a
mold for every other armor area but no gloves. It really is a pain as a
smith to explain why someone didn't get gloves when you sold them a full
suit of banded.

Not really a spoiler since everyone and his brother knows about it, but you
don't have to make belts, boots, and capes at least.

There's the Bobobob and Chandra Miller siblings at the entrance to Surefall
Glade. The all important faction thing seems to be able to be improved by
just being a big customer. Matter of speculation on my part, but the
factions you get buying from them may be more important then the armor.

If you buy a bunch of wolf hide belts from Bobobob, eventually Chandra will
be willing to make some of the tougher items like HQ bear hide capes. The
items they make are one size fits all.

If you get those items from the Millers, you still have the problem you
stated with wrist bands and shoulder pads, but at least you can find the
first in cloth and buy the latter at lower levels.
