Ocean of Tears!!! (short)

I am a agnostic Dark Elf Magician. a month ago at lvl 16 I ventured to
the Ocean of Tears to buy my much awaited Elem. Spell from the vendor on the
Sister Island. She conned indifferent to me so I walked up to her and tried
to buy, she immediately killed me. Is this a bug? When I went back at lvl
20 recently I once again conned her, she was inndifferent but I was affraid
to approach her. I was able to find someone to purchase the spell for me but
would like to know; has anyone else heard of this, or had this happen to
them recently. Should I petition this? Inndifferent is just what it says
indifferent, how am I suppose to know who will kill me and who wont.

Are you invisible when conning the NPC? If so, that explains your problem.
Take invisibility off to get an accurate con.

If you worship Innoruk, it doesn't matter what you con. She worships Erollisin Marr, she will kill you regardles of faction. Have a friend buy it.

Actually indifferent is more like undecided. It means they may decide you
aren't worth bothering with or they hate you. :) Mainly this happens due to
religion but not sure why she would hate an Agnostic so bad.

I have been attacked by a dubious con (Tabure Ahendle in Qeynos) and an
indifferent con (new dwarf npc in the Rathe Mtns near the inn...forget
his name). I was visible when conning both at a distance. I /bugged both
of them. Someone at Verant gets their jollies watching players get
murdered repeatedly I guess :)

I can understand that venders do not like selling to a Dark Elf race we are
an evil race after all. But they should /con as such. I think you are right
