Shawn, I need more information. Did you recieve the eye from a looted
creature? Was it given to you by an NPC? a PC? The greatest likely hood
is that, an enchanter, with nothing better to do enchanted the eye and
placed it on a monster, that you subsiquently killed. It sounds like
someone is playing a joke.

My guess is you got it by killing the Queen Klicknik in North
Qeynos. Just buy a bar of silver, hold it in your hand, and then
right-click on the fire beetle eye. Two other things you should know:

1.) The Giant Fire Beetle Eye gives off as much light as a Greater
Lightstone, so if you have infravision, use it.

2.) It will sell for the exact same amount of money to vendors
after you have usen the charge.

I seriously overestimate the power of an enchanter. The type of thing you
are suggesting is not possible.

No no, he's right. Some loot has (enchant silver) charges. While hunting
in Black Burrow, I used to waste the Kliknik queen whenever I saw her in
Queynos. (She and I have a long history, and I wish to make sure she
understands the error of her ways)

When I looted her, I would sometimes get a "Giant Beetle Eye", and its
description read "Enchant Silver". I always assumed that the appropriate
spellcaster could enchant silver with it, but I wasn't sure. Maybe ANYONE
can enchant silver with it, I never tried.

Just equip it in your offhand slot. Then right click on it. You don't need
to buy the silver, it will make a bar.

I had gotten a beetle eye. I was able to enchant the silver bar once. I
just right clicked on it and it cast. I have a silver bar that i sold for
4gp. Now does this thing recharge? I only been able to use it once.

Yes, anybody can create an enchanted bar of silver using the eye. And,
from what I've seen only Queen Klicnik's eye does this, other eyes I
have gotten from Giant Beetles in West Karanas don't have this. You
just put the eye anywhere in your inventory and right click on it. It
will put a brand new enchanted silver bar in your mouse pointer. Note
that it is also relatively rare, I've killed Queenie Klicnik maybe 30
times and have gotten 2 eyes to date.

Now for the kicker, even though this is a 1 Charge item, after you use
it it still says Charges: 1 upon inspection, although it will no longer
function. So, before buying one from anybody, make sure they haven't
right-clicked or bought it from another source who may have.
Unfortunately the only way I've been able to determine if it's been
used or not is to right-click on it.

Merchants will offer you roughly 5sp for the eye, used or unused.
Makes you wonder just how many people have sold this eye without
inspecting it, thereby giving up a free bar of enchanted silver. :-)

The Giant fire beetle eyes are looted off the Crag(sp)Beetles in North
and East Karanas. These beetles are rather tough. They con blue risky to
me at level 19, also blue to my friend a lvl 20 ranger.

The beetle eye this mob gives looks the same but has a larger radius of
light and also has a spell/magic effect of enchant silver. Have the eye
in your main inventory and right click on it. It will make a silver bar.

I had the beetle eye for about 3 days. Everyday I logged on it won't do
anything.

Does this thing have a limit to just cast once? or is there any way to
recharge it?
