I thought it would be cute to have a dark room with a light switch on the
wall by the door just like in a real building. How strange that the
only 'light on' switch is a walkover. Am I missing something or is
this a DOOM oversight?

I, too, have wished for light switches on occation. You can, I think, have a
switch which turns the lights off, but none for on. It is strange and
definitely too bad. Oh well.

Well, if you want light, you can do one of two things...If you already
don't know these two tricks, that is....

1. Hit your F11 key (turns Gamma correction on)

2. Type IDBEHOLD, then select 'L' for light-amlification visor...

If you're using DEU 5.0, select linedef, hit enter to edit, choose Type,
then look under the "Special..." listings. I think there two switches,
one that goes to full light, one that goes to full dark.

I didn't know that you needed ego stroking? Although I haven't played
tndmexit, I have posted a couple of times fawning over tncross. I that
enough? :-)

BTW. I like the idea of cooperative exits. I am in the process of
constructing a dethstac.wad which is a best-of for all the deathmatch
only levels. I was planning on editing the pwads just enough to put
cooperative exits on all of them. I think this is important for the
"areana" style levels (I can see advantages of the "kill your enemy and
then flip the exit switch scenarios in other types of deathmatch play)

Right, and there isn't one. I have some half-a**ed workarounds, but
they'll wait for my own WADs, thank you very much. :-)

The problem is that these switches are "walkover" switches. I was looking

for a basic wall switch.
