Control Data ran an ad in 1963 for engineers for technical support
in Minneapolis.

Also, in 1964, a CDC 3400 and a 3100 were installed at the

Interesting, Michigan State installed a CDC 3600 in June 1963 (to replace the homebuilt tube-based MISTIC).

MSU's was serial #3? #2? The story goes that we were supposed to get
#1, but some national lab managed to divert it. Someone with some clout
went to bat to get one of the next ones sent to us.

I don't remember, and I never saw it, as it was gone before I got there.

Wish I had bought the 6400 console off MSU though when they scrapped it.
