The Washington Post reported that officials at American Airlines
are scrambling after a computer glitch left thousands of flights
during Christmas week without pilots. "This is certainly not
routine,” said Capt. Dennis Tajer, a spokesman for the Allied
Pilots Association, which represents 15,000 American pilots.
"This is a crisis right now and in that crisis @AmericanAir has
gone solo.”

Not solo ... RyanAir had rostering problems (due to changing the
start/end of the year for pilot holiday purposes) and had to cancel
18,000 flights

And it's not a compiler glitch, it's a programmer fuckup.

Programming?!!! Not data entry? Does it have something to do
with the end of the year occurring on Sunday?

To the customer who has to spend the night on a cold hard airport
floor, it's a computer screwup.
