Minako and Brock from Pokemon. They're both so lonely, and they really
would make a good match. Minako is more than enough to get Brock's drool
flowing, and Brock could help Minako in the finer arts, like cooking,
cleaning, and such, which she doesn't appear to be too good at. ("So how
does this Pokeball thing work?" "Minako, no!" *BOOM*) And I would love for
these two guys to finally luck out for a change. They deserve each other.
(Nevermind that they're my two favorite anime characters.... ^^;)
I really ought to get back into fanfiction. :\

Umm...^^;;; I almost got Fisheye with Aburatso Ayanojou (Mahou Tsukai Tai!) in
an RPG once, but never got that idea off the ground...then I decided that I
liked him better with Tigereye. ^_^

Actually the Eva universe in itself isn't a bad place. It's
full of wonder and mystery. It's the people - SOME of the
people - in it who cause all the trouble.
Let's see. Prior to episode 21, Asuka wouldn't want a
boyfriend because she's got Kaji. She thinks. What
she needs is a psychiatrist (but you don't see NERV
providing her with one, do you?). After 21 she doesn't
need a boyfriend, she needs the mental equivalent of
super glue...
Five pople from the BSSM universe Asuka should meet:
5) Hotaru. The brilliant firefly can heal bodies with
her touch; maybe she can do minds, too. And I doubt
even Asuka could resist Hotaru.
4) Mamoru. He too has the power of healing and
sustaining with his touch. And he's a bit like a
less scruffy Kaji. Asuka not be able to resist him,
either. Which would lead to the same sort of fireworks
we got when Fisheye tried to move in on Mamoru, except
with time between Usagi and Asuka.
Scary! O_O;;;
3) Setsuna. The Senshi of Time has shown some odd
mental powers at times (sending the Inners into
ChibiUsa's dream so they can fight the Droid in
there; telepathically speaking to Uranus, Neptune,
and ChibiUsa after her disappearance, etc). She might
have a tube of mental superglue lying around.
2) Pegasus. Asuka doesn't have a beautiful dream - more
like an unending nightmare - but someone non-threatening
to talk to couldn't hurt. And if he was living in her
mind, he'd know what sort of a mess Asuka's is... And might
be able to help her...

When Hotaru has it, she has her own problems which, well...

I don't know if he'd get close enough to her to help her... He's a little
aloof, even with Usagi sometimes. Hotaru is as well...
Poor little Asuka... She doesn't really need people that she needs to
figure out, she needs someone friendly and open to be her friend. She
wanted Rei [A.] to be her friend and Rei totally froze her out. [which,
o.k., I know why but Asuka doesn't] so that is what began Asuka's dislike
of Rei. Then, Shinji has so many problems dealing with people, that
confused Asuka.... And she was jealous of Misato.
Really, the only person who was available to her was Kaji. It's really no
wonder she fell in love/thought she fell in love with him. *She* thought
he was all she had. Well, she did have her friend from school.. Hikari, I
think. Asuka was so happy when she was with her friend except after things
got really bad and her friend didn't know how to help her and Asuka didn't
know how to ask for help. But, I think Hikari wanted to help Asuka. So,
what Asuka needed then was a good close friend who had the silver
crystal... [Usagi posed]

Now, that would help. ^_^ But, before it got to that point, Usagi would be
just the kind of friend that Asuka would need.. let's see who are my own
people from the Sailor Moon world who could benefit Asuka...
1. Usagi... A good friend, very open and caring and friendly. Having the
silver crystal is a plus... but maybe things wouldn't get to that point.
Also shares some interests with Asuka such as video games. When things
gets bad and her friends get weird, Usagi won't give up and that is really
what Asuka needs. Taken from the Eva universe, the worst wouldn't happen
to her, but she still has a lot of demons from her past to get through...
Usagi is also a good way for anyone to get to know Mamo-chan [without
getting stomped by Usagi] as well as Mama-Ikkoku, Kenji, Shinjo, ChibiUsa
and a whole bunch of folks... Asuka is a social creature, I think, at
heart. Usagi would also be a way for Asuka to meet some people like Hotaru
and Setsuna and understand them a little better from the start so that she
doesn't think they rejecting her and reject them [which Asuka is bad about
doing].
2. Ami.. O.k., she is shy, but Asuka is not and once someone gets Ami to
talk, Ami's not really very mysterious or aloof. Plus, Ami presumably
knows German which Asuka would like and she is very smart like Asuka. They
could talk about physics. Plus, Ami is very, very loyal which Asuka would
sense immediately and that would give her a feeling of security. Also,
Asuka could show off her diving for Ami.
3. Minako.. a good, fun person who also is very caring and friendly. Like
all the senshi, Minako has seen the dark side of life and she would
understand Asuka. Also, Minako's athletic so she's someone else who could
appreciate Asuka's showing off and understand why she's doing it. Plus,
like Asuka... Minako likes fashion and loves to shop.
4. Makoto... their lives have a few things in common... Makoto is better
at being independent without being prickly. Asuka could learn from her.
Also, Makoto is very warm, caring and nuturing which Asuka needs. Makoto
also takes up for her friends and Asuka could use that as well. Not so
much that she literally needs protection.. she needs the feeling that
someone would stand up for her.
5. Naru.. a very sweet, loyal friend who is willing to look past the
surface to what a person is like inside. Also, Naru is able to understand
some odd behavior in her friends.. so she wouldn't question Asuka too
much. She's also a lot of fun to hang around... she likes some of the
things Asuka does and she's pretty smart.
6. Uminio... very loyal, very kind. A little nerdy, but has a good sense
of humor about that. Pretty smart and likes some of the same things Asuka
does. Plus he kind of goes with Naru.
7. Haruka... LOL! Well, Asuka does need a fellow show-off and someone to
argue with so who would be better? Asuka's awfully cute so Haruka wouldn't
hold her antics against her. hehe
8. Rei... Rei would be a good friend to have, of course. But, it would
take a little while before Asuka could get the real benefit of knowing
Rei... After they became close friends they could both have the
much-needed "my father is a jerk" conversation.

Yeah, that would be interesting. I've had that happen quite a few times in
stories, ideas, and RPGs. Example: Eudial and Yaten (manga). We all know
Yaten's a cynic and cold to everyone except the other Lights, Kakyuu, and Luna.
And somehow, I wound up potraying Eudial as a cynic, but in a more angry,
short-tempered, man-hating way. She thinks love is just stupid because "It
screws everyone up". And of course, they fall for each other...

When I write, I tend to allow the story to write itself. I really do
little work; I just let it flow out and hope my fingers can keep up. ^^;
And usually it plays itself out in my head--though rarely with regard for
chronological order--before I write a word, so I generally know where
it'll go. That's my opinion of the best way to write a story, just leaving
it to its own devices, and as long as it keeps flowing it can go pretty
quickly.

quite a bit in common. They're both goofy, fun loving, and James needs someone
whose not a total bitch. Jessie's so mean to him. ;_; (I'm not as against

Jessie was really horrible to him. ^^;;) And hey-they have talking cats! :P

As much as I like James, I must do this for Brock. He deserves my dear
Minako, and if I can't have her for myself, I must give her away to the
most deserving candidate. (Oh dear, I'm turning into Minako's dad. O_o;)

Sheesh, don't rush me! ^_^ I wrote four pages of it today, and I don't see

Ditto here, but often I'll get ideas for specific scenes along with the
skeleton. (Most of the time lately for me, the scene *is* the story,
standing on its own. Makes for a lot of spamfics. ^_^;) The trick is
then to get the scenes to have setup and consequences so that the path
from A to B also writes itself...

Of course, everything would be alright if everyone is Mamoru, since
then Ami is Mamoru is Usagi, therefore Ami+Setsuna=Usagi+Mamoru. ^_^

when someone sticks their head in a room and yells "Stella!!" Good works
of literature can never be rushed.

That happens with me too. Luckily, it usually flows along nicely. For this
Minako/Brock fanfic, the ending came to be before I'd written a single
word. For some of my earlier, larger works, the ending usually came
somewhere in the middle. I don't know which way I prefer though; it's nice
to have flexibility, but it's nice to know where the story's ultimately
going.

Same here. I actually started out conceiving the ending, and am
working toward that end. I make up stuff (besides major plot points) as I
go for the purpose of getting there.
