I tried to send this to Mr. Jittlov via his wabpage e-mail, but it seems to
be down at this time. This is the e-mail I sent. I do hope Mr. Jittlov sees
it.

------------------

Way back in 1990, I remember watching TWOSAT on one of the channels on
satellite TV (one of the big 12 foot dishes). I remember enjoying the movie
and being really impressed by "The Wizard's Run". Fast forward to just two
weeks ato - a friend sent me an youtube link and lo-and-behold, it was "The
Wizard's Run", complete in youtube low-definition. A search showed that the
movie isn't available on DVD, so I went the ebay route and got a VHS tape of
the movie.

Something stronger than a sense of nostalgia hit me - the movie and it's
message hit me like a hammer and I'm amazed I didn't get it way back in 1990
when I saw it for the first time. One man trying to shine and being impeded
by crooks, theives, unions and incompetants. I personally know the feeling
from bitter experience.

I was filled with disgust when I read that your film was stolen from you and
sold behind your back, netting you nothing, including your own savings
(which happened in the movie).

I have taken a look at your newsgroup, which seems to have been overtaken by
spam (Usenet is dying, it had its day but it's obsolete now). Once again, I
was filled with sadness to see a post that your mother had a stroke and you
are having to take care of her. I sympathize - I did the same thing for my
mother, she ended up dying June 10, 2005. I'm now taking care of my wife
who has been stricken with Multiple Sclerosis and is now confined to a
wheelchair.

Enough negativity, I wanted to let you know that my wife watched TWOSAT for
the first time today. She loved it so much and felt that she missed a lot
of the subliminal messages, she watched it again. She was a graphics
designer before she had to go on disability so she is aware of the
tremendous amount of work that went into making your movie and the special
effects that you did.

We would like to support you in some small way for the enjoyment that your
movie has given us. I just bought the soundtrack from ebay and I assume
you're the one selling them. If not, do you have an updated site of things
you're selling?

I don't really expect a reply because I know you have the 'real life' thing
going on. It'd be great to see a reply but this message is to let you know
that you have two new fans.

May the Nordic Goddess of your dreams sweep you off your feet and Disney
give you a fat contract. You deserve both.

The website was working when I went there a minute ago. However, you
have to type the full <www.wizworld.com>. It won't work without the
leading "www".

Its hard to say if Mr. Jittlov (I guess we can call him "Mike",
right?) will see it, but if he does, I'm sure he'll appreciate your
story. His inbox is swamped with spam worse than mine. (Personally
I advocate putting instructions for getting past filters with my
published email addressed. Hmm, sounds like a new topic.)

For me, the commercial was running on the overhead monitor at the
local Blockbuster rental store. I rented one of the two copies that
day.

The original run footage is available out there on the internet, in
better quality than YouTube. Search the newsgroup archives for the
URL's (I like groups.google.com). You can also find the Jittlov Demo
Reel. (Kind of messy, but you can read the stories about it in the
archives too.)

Well, yes and no. First, there was a limited release of WOSAT on
LaserDisc.

Second, you can ask and see if someone can make you a copy of one of
the 2 fan-based DVD's: The Blue-Swordsman DVD or the Lord Salt DVD.
Both were made with permission from Mr. Jittlov himself, I believe.

I've had that feeling myself.

Did you show her some of the lists of subliminals published on the
internet?

Somewhere, there is a list of the jobs that Mike did on that movie.
There are a lot of them.

You can see his name appear many times in the credits. The credits
themselves contain some funny stuff, like a copyright notice for the
moon.

We all would. However, it has proven rather difficult. Mike
generally returns any money sent to him. (Sometimes cash is folded
into various Origami shapes.) If you find a way to do that, please
let us all know.

Mike has sold some of the movie props on Craig's list in the past. I
recall a mannequin stand-in for Paige Moore and the couch from the
Jittlov living room among them.

I believe that John Massari is the one selling the music CDs. I don't
know if he has an arrangement with Mike about proceeds.

One of the films Mike made for Disney appeared in the special features
of "Mickey Mouse in Living Color 2" and is introduced my Leonard
Malton. Credits for it are included via subliminals.

Actually the site worked, it was the e-mail program that would give me an
"error" message and state the e-mail wasn't sent.

I saw the poster of TWOSAT that was on the site - I'd love to buy one from
Mr. Jittlov (I'd hate to call him by his first name since we don't know each
other. Also, he's my elder, so the respect thing comes into play. All
people older than I am are immediately referred to as Mr., Mrs, Miss or Ms.
It's just my upbringing.) That way I'm helping him but it's not a way of
charity - it's a business transaction with a person I choose to do business
with.

I did see the 50th Anniversery tribute that Mr. Jittlov did for Mickey
Mouse. on youtube. It wan't until I read a few messages on this NG that I
realized that Mr. Jittlov doesn't care much for the fact that a lot of his
stuff is on youtube. I can respect that, but then he may consider that he's
now reaching an audience that otherwise would have never heard of him.
Granted that doesn't pay the bills but I have the feeling that he takes so
much pride in his work that he would be happy for a younger generation to
see it and learn from his experiences, both good and bad.

He's entered my personal list of "Most Creative People" - people like David
Byrne of "Talking Heads", Roger Walters of "Pink Floyd" and Eddie van Halen.
I play guitar, so I realize how talented and creative EVH is. For me to
place Mike Jittlov in a list with EVH means he has really impressed me. I
do realize that won't pay any bills or ever get a cheap cup of coffee, but I
do want Mr. Jittlov to know that new fans are finding him.

My last note - I also saw a note that his mother had a stroke in 2005. My
mother died from a stroke that year, I took care of her from the moment she
was found until she passed on. I can really empathize with him about taking
care of a special family member in that way.

Looks like you just found a pretty significant use for Usenet in the
same post that you declared it as "obsolete." What a doofus.

How do you decide if the person is older than you? Do you ask to see
their driver's license? What is you decide to call someone "Mr." or
"Mrs." because in your profound wisdom you decided they're "older than
you", but in fact it turns out that they are not?

Also, how do you decide wether to address a female as Mrs., Miss or
Ms? Do you ask for their marital status and/or gender preference?

How did you get that handle? Were you struck on the head by a sledge
hammer at some point in your life, probably as a child? Did an older
sibling do it to you? If so, do you address that older sib as "Mr.",
"Miss", "Mrs." or "Ms?"

Just wondering.

Begone, troll.

And you're the exact reason that USENET has become nothing but spam and
trolling expeditions.

Now do something constuctive like jumping off a 10 story building,
headfirst.

Heh. One of our student employees keeps calling me "sir", as though it
makes any sense in this environment...everyone here calls everyone else by
first name, highest to lowest. It's one of the few things they've got
right.
