Burger King begins their DBZ promotion. Toys are kinda cheesy, but its the
simple fact that its an offical US DBZ Promotion thats just damned cool!
"Can I have two kids meals please?" I can just imagine the looks on their
faces. hehehehe,

Well, tomorrow is the day, really. But your point is well-taken. Five years
ago, who among us would have believed that the same restaurant chain that
has done Disney promotions for years would be doing a promotion for an
anime? Kind of puts the last decade in perspective, doesn't it?

Happy meals is McDonald's. Kid's Meals is Burger King.

You know your in AFD when...

When you jokingly call a "kids meal" a "happy meal"
and the only replies you get from the group are
corrections.

Okay kids, the previous line said "BK promo" so it
was pretty obvious that I knew it was at BK..

Happy meal, Kids Meal... Brats who need a toy to eat....

Call it whatever you like.

Definitely man. I want the damned toys. I am only mad because there is no
Trunks figure. However, I just struck a deal with my local Burger King.
After the promo is done I get all of the standups and window stickers!!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we were just trying to be helpful.

No so obvious that you were aware that Happy Meal is a McDonald's trademark.

> Happy meal, Kids Meal... Brats who need a toy to eat....

Would you be going to BK today if you weren't getting a toy with your meal?

I don't have to go through the humiliation of that at all. My friend works

Let's be fair, the difference in name is completely irrelevant
to the content of the question.

Do you think BK would refuse to serve me if I asked for a
"Happy Meal" as opposed to a "Kids Meal" ???

All I want is to be able to buy the video tape...
The toy does not interest me..

It's a moot point anyway, half of the BKs in PDX have not
even heard of the DBZ promo...

I've always played nice, with you, and the above was not
intended to be anything like a "verbal lashing".

If you took it that way, I'm sorry.

Okay, the orginial question was never answered, due the commentary on what BK
meals were called. Don't remember, don't care ^_^.
BUT, How do you get the episodes, while circumventing buying all 7 toys?

You have to have 7 kids meals to get the free video. What episodes are
they?

I went by Toonami.com and found a link for the BK promo...checked it out...

On the page with the details for the promo video offer (the video, BTW, has
the two episodes immediately following the Trunks tapes...the Dr. Gero tapes
will pick up with the arrival of 19 and 20, apparently), it states that you
can circumvent collecting all seven toys by buying ONE Kids Meal, and
sending the one form that comes with that toy, plus $8.99 (the 3.99 s/h
charge you pay if you get all seven, plus five dollars) to the address
given. (If you're in Texas, add sales tax...about 75 cents.)

Me, I think I might take a crack at collecting all seven toys first. I want
the cards that come with 'em.

You can buy one "Momentarily Appeased Kids Toy and Food
Product" and then send in proof of that plus $8.00 and you
get the tape.

I think you have to send in several proof-O-purchase to get
the tape for free...

You don't actually get the tape "for free" in any case, because you still
have to pay the shipping on it regardless. If you only buy one Kids Meal,
though, it's going to cost you $8.99 (plus tax if you're in Texas).

Which, in fact, is actually a lot more economical if you'd, say, rather eat
somewhere else, or don't want to eat Kids Meals for a week or two, since to
do it the "free" way (collect the seven toys and send seven order forms)
would actually end up costing you about $25...about five dollars more than
the regular price of a FUNi uncut dub DBZ tape, and about $15 more than they
want you to actually *pay* for the promo tape.
