Hey folks,

Well, it looks like this series will be coming to an end ... soon. Why? A
friend of mine who comes in contact with TOEI Studios discovered the last
time she visited that they stopped drawing it (a month or two ago the
stopped, actually). I'm not even sure if this is offically been annouced in
Japan yet, or what the case maybe, but I TOEI has definatley stopped drawing
it. I placed this news on my page a couple days ago, and someone asked if I
should start a petition to try and bring this show back on the air. I really
don't know if this will do any good becuase a)Would they really listen to
'forieners'? I mean, in case you haven't heard word about what the latest
escapde they are doing on Japanese video stores here in the states, the
Japanese are trying to stop these video stores from distrubting tapes to
people other Japanese. I have no idea why, but I've been told that this has
been taken care of and doesn't poise any more threat.. anyway, b) Would it
matter even if they had one in Japan? I sure haven't seen jack with the
petitions of SM here..

What do you think?

If memory serves me correctly, I believe someone stated not too long ago
that producint a petition to bring an anime series back is an insult to
the creators. I do not know if this is exact nor true. Could someone
validate this for me so it's certified of this fact?

If you're talking about the Save Our Sailors campaign, it did made
progress if I remember correctly. I hear that the new batch of SM dubs
will be (or is) in the works. Again, someone please clarify that so it
isn't some clueless mistake I made. :)

What do I think? From what I've heard of DBGT for the past several weeks,
I have a few opinions on it and some things that I may want to point out.

1) DBGT is kinda going overboard for a) the new SSJ4 form, b) Super
Saiya-jin Oozaru, and c) power level going absolutely and positively out
of control.

2) With the previous quote in mind, it gets difficult to find watching GT
any easier with its ideas and major inconsistancy breaking more levels
than SSJ. The problem is that you would look at them and say "Oh geez!
These guys can destroy planets just like *that*?!" Case in point - I have
yet known any series that is able to destroy planets as easily as Super
Saiya-jins, Magical Beings, World Gods, and species from other planets
like Freeza's species.

3) You can say that GT took a plunge ever since the entire "Baby" theme
started. However, keep in mind that someone has to somehow create a story
to keep the viewers attached to the tube. Also, most people find
action-packed shows such as DBZ (the original Japanese, mind you) more
entertaining than the story itself. But the story and originality do
count and they do make a difference as to whether or not a series will
stay on for a long time. But why did a series like DBZ ran for so long?
Only a couple of theories in mind: anime adaption of the manga story and
its action-packed scenes.

I don't know of any other things I can toss out but maybe this can
probably start a rather debatable topic. But alas, I'm afraid it'll never
end. o.O;

PS: Guess who? ;)
