Charleen Dimmick, 70, passed away Monday evening following a brief
illness. She and Charles were married for 47 years. I had to the good
fortune to see her on a few occasions and she was always bright, cheery
and entertaining. She will be missed.

I have exchanged brief email with Charles and he says that he is being
well supported by his community and is coping by keeping himself busy.

The only arrangements that I am aware of are for a memorial service to be
held at a date to be determined.

If Charles is the sort of person he seems to be on Usenet, I'm sure that his
friends, neighbors and familty will take very good care of him. I wish him
strength during this difficult time.

I have four families giving me support:
1. My relatives in the usual sense.
2. My Church family.
3. My Grange family.
4. My imaginary friends on Usenet and other places on the aether.

I have found the best therapy so far is to keep very busy with all four.
As Chaplain for the local Grange, I draped the charter Wednesday
evening, both for Charleen and for an elderly friend who died just two
weeks before. And Thursday night through late this afternoon I have been
at Grange State Session, our annual state Grange meeting, where they
kept me plenty busy.

Since it doesn't look like we're going to reach any agreement here to
stop this "dying" stuff, best I can say is to wish Charles Wm. as easy
a time thru as possible. No sadder than necessary, OK? We'll try to
hold up our end. Hard to sub for flesh & blood, though.

Wow, you seemed MUCH younger than you would've had to have been when I
met you in Valhalla. Did the 2nd wife reset the clock?
