That is PRECISELY what the two agents in the back of the limo do... they jog along behind the limo - and when the limo picks up speed, they STAND ON THE LITTLE STEP PROVIDED ON THE BUMPER, AND USE THE HANDHOLD.

David Von Pein *KNOWS THIS FOR A FACT* - yet blatantly lies about it on his website.

Tell us David - why did you blatantly lie about the two agents that are normally stationed right behind the limo?

From the photos and films I have seen, it was not NORMAL to have two agents assigned *only to run alongside the limo*. That situation might have existed in a few (shorter) motorcades when a FREEWAY EXCURSION was not being planned, but in DALLAS, it's highly doubtful the SS would have assigned any agents to specifically RUN & RIDE THE BUMPERS because they knew the agents would then have to ride the bumpers/handholds during a higher-speed drive on Stemmons Freeway. That would probably not be permitted (or scheduled).

Plus, as we know via the various 1964 SS reports, JFK didn't like it when agents constantly rode on those bumpers, so such scheduling of two extra "Run & Ride" agents would most certainly not have been done as late as Nov. 22, 1963, which was after Kennedy made his feelings pretty clear in Tampa just 4 days earlier about agents riding on the back of his limo.*

* Many CTers will try and dispute my last paragraph above about JFK disliking the agents on his car, but it's a correct paragraph just the same (based on just CD821 alone; see following link)....

Tut tut tut, David. The question I asked was WHY DID YOU LIE ABOUT THIS?

I'm not interested in hearing you try to justify the lie.

You made the claim that the agents would have needed to jog through the whole parade... THAT'S SIMPLY NOT TRUE - AND YOU **KNOW** IT'S NOT TRUE.

Now, either retract your lie, or go right on lying...

You're lying again, David.

There's an excellent reason to label it a lie.

This quote below by me isn't a "lie" at all, Ben. It's a perfectly accurate statement -- with the statement encompassing the STEMMONS FREEWAY portion of the "lengthy trip through Dallas", which would have most definitely been a time when any "running" agents would have NOT been able to continue to "run" alongside the limo. Hence, this statement by me is a 100% accurate and true statement. So choke on it, Ben....

So what you're claiming is that there is *NEVER* a time when the Secret Service could have used the handholds & bumper steps.

The Secret Service HAD NO METHOD to deal with higher speeds by the limo.

But - of course - you're simply lying again.

Nor would any Secret Service Agent *NEED* to run along side the limo... David is lying... this is what the handholds/bumper steps, and followup cars are for.

It's amusing how far David is willing to lie to cover up the fact that the Secret Service, who had people at the rear of the limo on other occasions, somehow couldn't have 'em on 11/22/63.

Here, for example:

Taken just four days earlier... and strangely enough, IT DOESN'T SHOW SECRET SERVICE AGENTS RUNNING AFTER THE LIMO!!

Why not, David?

Why aren't they jogging behind?

That's not what I said. I said that my earlier statement (that you incorrectly labelled a "lie") was a perfectly accurate statement---and it is.

You can't tell the speed of the limo in a picture, idiot. But I can say one thing for certain---the car isn't barrelling down a freeway at 50 or 60 MPH there either. Hence, the agents could safely ride the bumpers. (And that's the exact trip that JFK complained about too. Although you'll deny it, of course.)

Yes David, that's EXACTLY what you're claiming.

The Presidential limo would certainly need to deal with higher speed from time to time, and **YOU** are claiming that Secret Service Agents cannot be stationed behind the limo due to that fact.

You're a liar.
