My Scenario Part 3

First - a quick review is in order. I've demonstrated that I will do
precisely what I say I will: to wit, I will match in length, detail,
and number of citations any scenario posted by a believer. I've done
so repeatedly, and invariably, believers then run away. I then
demonstrated that the Warren Commission refused to investigate prior
assassination attempts that would have shed light on the conspiracy to
murder the President. I then showed that the Warren Commission had
their "conclusions" in written form before they interviewed a single
witness... and that the Commission clearly indicated a desire **NOT**
to hold a real investigation.

The very first fact that emerged after the actual assassination was
the virtually instantaneous concentration on what became known as the
Grassy Knoll. Police immediately rushed there, as Mark Lane pointed
out:

"Secret Service agents, Dallas police officers and Dallas County
deputy sheriffs posted here and there around the plaza agreed that the
shots seemed to have come from the knoll. Many officers said that as
soon as the shots were fired they ran directly to the knoll and behind
the wooden fence and began to search the area, some of them passing
the Book Depository Building on the way. Lee Bowers testified that at
least 50 law enforcement officers were engage in searching the parking
lot and the railroad yards behind the fence within minutes of the
assassination; other eyewitnesses confirmed this estimate."

Puddy attempted to label this a lie on Mark Lane's part... trying to
claim that Chief Curry ordered them there... so I simply quoted
several witnesses who confirm this:

"Just a few seconds after the president's car had passed my location I
heard a shot ring out, a couple of seconds elapsed and then two more
shots ring out. I immediately ran to the area from which it sounded
like the shots had been fired. This is an area between the railroads
and the Texas School Book Depository which is east of the railroads.
There were several other officers in this area and we secured it from
the public." - Harold Elkins.

"I was standing in front of the Sheriff's Office watching the
Presidential Motorcade. The President's car had passed my location a
couple of minutes when I heard a loud report which I thought was a
railroad torpedo, as it sounded as if it came from the railroad yard.
Thinking, this was a heck of a time for one to go off, then I heard a
2nd report which had more of an echo report and thought to myself,
that this was a rifle and I started toward the corner when I heard the
3rd report. By this time I was running towards the railroad yards
where the sound seemed to come from." - Harry Weatherford.

Puddy has yet to acknowledge that he lied, and that Mark Lane is
indeed supported in what he stated by the eyewitness testimony.

And while Chief Curry did indeed focus attention on the Grassy Knoll -
it was INDEPENDENTLY felt to be the location of a shooter by police.

Notice that these events occurred within *SECONDS* of the
assassination - and therefore the evidence for a conspiracy was
evident in the first seconds after the assassination. This fact has
never changed in the last 50+ years, and no believer will explain it
away.

The immediate and numerous eyewitnesses documenting a shooter from the
Grassy Knoll was not explained by the Warren Commission - who
basically ignored this topic. Indeed, reading the Commission's report
- you'd be completely ignorant of the tremendous evidence for a
shooter on the knoll. This was a demonstration of the focus that the
Commission had towards the cover-up, rather than the truth.

Had the Warren Commission been interested in the truth - you'd see the
evidence for a Grassy Knoll shooter described in the report, and an
explanation for why they could still come to the conclusion that this
evidence was wrong or misleading. But the Warren Commission was almost
completely silent on the evidence showing a Grassy Knoll shooter.

For example, in one of the few examples that *can* be found is found
under "speculations" ... and misleadingly stated:

***********************************************************
Speculation. Immediately after the shooting a motorcycle policeman was
seen racing up the grassy embankment to the right of the shooting
scene pursuing a couple seeking to flee from the overpass.

Commission finding. There are no witnesses who have ever stated this
and there is no evidence to support the claim. A motorcycle policeman,
Clyde A. Haygood, dismounted in the street and ran up the incline. He
stated that he saw no one running from the railroad yards adjacent to
the overpass. Subsequently, at 12:37 p.m., Haygood reported that the
shots had come from the Texas School Book Depository Building.
**********************************************************

This is completely misleading, as Mark Lane pointed out that "Secret
Service agents, Dallas police officers and Dallas County deputy
sheriffs posted here and there around the plaza agreed that the shots
seemed to have come from the knoll. Many officers said that as soon as
the shots were fired they ran directly to the knoll and behind the
wooden fence and began to search the area, some of them passing the
Book Depository Building on the way. Lee Bowers testified that at
least 50 law enforcement officers were engage in searching the parking
lot and the railroad yards behind the fence within minutes of the
assassination; other eyewitnesses confirmed this estimate."

By including the "fact" that the motorcycle policeman was "pursuing a
couple seeking to flee from the overpass." - the Warren Commission was
able to diffuse the evidence for a Grassy Knoll shooter. This was
actually a frequent tactic employed by the Warren Commission ... that
of telling a partial truth, then changing it so that they could easily
deny it.

Note that Clyde Haygood's actions contradict his later assertions.
When prior action is in conflict with later explanation - most
intelligent people know what is most credible. "Actions Speak Louder
That Words" is a maxim that intelligent people instinctively realize
is true... and Clyde Haygood showed where he thought a shooter was at.
