THE TOPIC OF "JOHN F. KENNEDY" (BOTH HIS ALL-TOO-SHORT 1,037-DAY
PRESIDENCY AND HIS TRAGIC ASSASSINATION IN 1963) HAS BEEN RIPE OVER THE
YEARS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ALMOST AN ENDLESS STRING OF BOOKS, VIDEOS,
DVDs, CDs, AND CD-ROMs.

BELOW IS MY LIST OF SUCH ITEMS PERTAINING TO THE LIFE AND DEATH OF THE
35TH U.S. PRESIDENT THAT I HAVE OBTAINED OVER A PERIOD OF MANY YEARS.

I'D ENJOY SEEING SIMILAR JFK COLLECTIONS LISTED BY OTHER MEMBERS HERE
(IF THEY ARE SO INCLINED TO LIST SUCH ARTICLES).

---------------------------------------------------------------

JFK-Related Videos and DVDs (video format is VHS, unless otherwise noted):

1.) Four Days In November (1964)(David L. Wolper 123-minute documentary
film)(Two different VHS box-cover designs have been produced; circa 1988
and 2000)(MGM/UA Home Video).

2.) On Trial: Lee Harvey Oswald (1986 Made-For-Cable TV Docu-Trial,
featuring Vincent Bugliosi as prosecuting attorney vs. Gerry Spence as
Oswald's lawyer). .... Actual witnesses to JFK's 1963 assassination give
testimony during this 5.5-hour televised Docu-Trial. .... Witnesses
appearing include: Wesley Frazier, Charles Brehm, Bill Newman, Harold
Norman, Ruth Paine, Marrion Baker, Paul O'Connor, Ted Callaway, and Johnny
Brewer. ....

Dr. Cyril Wecht, noted JFK conspiracy advocate, also appears as a witness.
Wecht's confrontation with prosecuting attorney Bugliosi is truly classic
stuff. Mr. Bugliosi is on top of his game when questioning Dr. Wecht
regarding the whereabouts of the bullet which Wecht claims went through
JFK but did not hit Governor Connally seated directly in front of him ---
"It's coming on a downward path, Cyril! It's coming on a downward path
into the Presidential limousine, goes through the President's body, misses
Governor Connally, and MAGICALLY also misses the driver and doesn't do ANY
damage to the Presidential limousine?! ... What happened to that pristine
bullet when it came through President Kennedy's body?!" .... "So, of the
nine pathologists, Dr. Wecht, you are the only one who had the honor and
the integrity and the professional responsibility to tell the truth to the
American people; is that correct, Doctor? Thank you! No further
questions!" ....

"On Trial: Lee Harvey Oswald" is a must-have program for assassination
buffs, with some of the most intense (and very interesting) testimony
coming from Mrs. Ruth Paine, who, even 23 years after the horrible Friday
in 1963, still feels the pain of that day. That fact comes through loud
and clear via her emotion-filled comments to both Mr. Bugliosi and Mr.
Spence during her time on the witness stand. This whole "trial" provides a
fascinating glimpse into history.

As a WC defender you might not be interested, but perhaps others might see
the value in having a database of what topics are covered in which TV
specials. For example, I believe that Dale Myers has appeared on several,
but his presentation in one might be slightly different than on another.

My current database lists 969 JFK-related books. The total database,
including other assassinations and related subjects (forensics,
organized crime, etc.) comes to 1640 books.
My DVD database lists 40 titles under JFK documentaries. There are,
again, additional related titles.
My JFK videotape database lists 337 titles.
There is also a great volume of news articles, magazine articles,
documents, and other printed material, as well as a great many films,
slides and photographs.
Clearly a bit large for posting here.

Hi Peter,

I realize this list is several years old, but....Would it be possible to
obtain DVD copies of the following CBS specials? I cannot find them on
YouTube or home video. Thank you for your help!

CBS Special: Who killed JFK-The final Chapter? (1993, hosted by Dan
Rather) 48 Hours Special: JFK/Eyewitness News Follow-up (1992)

There are ways to obtain them semi-legally. Some people know how to copy
DVDs. I used to have a tape player that could transfer the VHS tape to a
DVD drive, but some part broke and they couldn't find a replacement.
Modern machines prevent that because of copy protection schemes. If I
recorded the shows on my TiVo they have a program to copy them to my hard
drive. Not sure if I can do that with the Xfinity X1 box. I don't use
Iproducts.

If you don't mind TORRENTS of criticism there may be an illegal way to
download them from the InterNet.

Reply to Jonathan Williams & a question for David Von Pein:

Jonathan:

The CBS 1993 TV special featuring Dan Rather entitled 'Who Killed JFK -
The Final Chapter' is posted on YouTube in 5 or 6 parts. Use their search
engine for Dan Rather or the show's title & a list will appear with links
to it. You can assemble the parts into one video in Windows Live Movie
Maker if you download them as mp4 files, otherwise you will need to use a
video convert to convert .flv files to mp4 or wmv (both recognized by
Movie Maker). The show features a rare interview with Richard Helms.

David Von Pein:

Some comments published at Jeff Morley's website concerning the edited
AF-1 audio tapes, the hunt for the phantom C-130 'death car' crew &
information about all in & out air traffic at Love Field 22 Nov 1963 have
aroused curiosity. Since you have a massive video & audio collection
available for free to the public both at your blogs & YouTube I assume you
know your material better than anyone else in the process of downloading &
studying them. Do you know of any media or police broadcasts to the public
that instructed the public to stay away from Love Field during the time
frame that JFK's body was illegally transported from Parkland to AF-1 &
flown to Washington after LBJ was sworn in? Do you have any info on when
the C-130 took off from Love Field?

One of Jeff Morley's readers commented that there isn't video showing
spectators at Love Field to watch the departure of AF-1 nor or there any
interviews of spectators at Love Field for AF-1. AF-2 & the phantom C-130.
Have you located any such material in your collection? Do the DPD audio
tapes cover the period of when JFK's body was transported to AF-1 &
subsequently flown out from Love Field?

There may be something in your radio broadcast collection that can answer
these questions. I don't recall anything in the local Dallas TV coverage
that picks up from after JFK's hearse left Parkland & spectators were
interviewed at Parkland (but not Love Field). I've seen just a brief video
of AF-1 taking off from Love Field & several photos of Jackie at the
bottom of a passenger stairway ramp while Clint Hill & Roy Kellerman &
others brought JFK's casket into AF-1. Nothing showing Spectators at Love
Field. One commenter found it odd that the people that came to see JFK
arrive in Dallas apparently didn't return to Love Field to watch his body
& entourage depart that city. Perhaps there were spectators there & the
media missed it in it's coverage of Lee Oswald's arrest?

I thought I'd ask you here first before starting from scratch. When you
post anything on Ed Forum non-members cannot respond or ask you questions
there. I'm currently looking through 'Death Of A President' by William
Manchester to refresh whatever he may have reported in his 1967 book about
all of this.

Sincerely,

Otus Chambers

Afterthought for Jonathan: If you have trouble locating the link the
videos may have been moved to a playlist or deleted since I download them.
If you can't find them anywhere in the quagmire of YouTube JFK videos rest
assured I downloaded it & have it on my hard drive in both the original
YouTube parts and as 1 video I created from the parts. Keep in mind
YouTube is sensitive to complaints; perhaps someone complained about the
videos series & yanked it as a result. Regardless, I have it. Suggest a
way to upload it on the Internet that won't take a week to complete & I'll
be more than glad to furnish you a copy. The highlight of the video is not
Dan Rather or Gerald Posner, it's Richard Helms in my humble opinion.
Rather shot himself out of the most wanted job in TV journalism, an anchor
on CBS.

Otus,

I can't help you out much with the questions you posed. I, too, have
wondered why there are no pictures of the limousine departing Parkland or
arriving at Love Field. And I have no audio or video regarding the C-130
cargo plane that transported the limo back to Washington.

My guess would be that no unauthorized people would have been allowed
anywhere near AF1 or the C-130 plane at Love Field after the
assassination. Hence, no crowds there at all (except perhaps well beyond
the outer fences and perimeter of the airport).

RELATED NOTE --- Conspiracy theorists, IMO, are making another huge
mountain out of another molehill with regard to the Air Force One
tapes.

CTers seem to think that if every second of the aircraft transmissions
could be heard, the tapes would reveal something even more sinister and
underhanded than is already suspected by the CTers.

Of course, in reality, the confusion and awkwardness that exists on the
AF1 tapes is not conspiratorial in nature whatsoever. The type of
uncertainty and confusion that is heard in portions of the tapes is
perfectly natural given the circumstances. The authorities were arranging
things minute by minute, as they were in the air. It wasn't anything that
could have been rehearsed or pre-planned.

No big "Cover-Up" was being orchestrated during the flight from Dallas to
Washington. The U.S. Government was flying by the seat of its pants during
those few hours just after the President was murdered. And that type of
chaotic situation doesn't usually result in perfection or in "apple pie
order".

But to many conspiracy theorists, a sudden change in plans to take the
President's body to Bethesda instead of Walter Reed, or an urgent call
from a military man who wants to immediately get in touch with one of his
bosses, is deemed "suspicious" or "sinister" in the CTer's eyes.

A conspiracist who holds that view, however, doesn't seem to want to take
into account the incredible suddenness of the events in Dallas on
11/22/63, or the immense speed at which events were proceeding in the
hours right after JFK was killed. So a "fly by the seat of your pants"
situation becomes a "sinister pre-arranged plot" in the eyes of some
conspiracy believers. To that I say -- hogwash.

Air Force 2,under its new call sign designation SAM970 (since the vice
president was not on board) left Dallas at 3:14 local time and arrived
Andrews AFB at 6:30 local time.

Per agent Sam Kinney's report, the C-130 transporting the President's limo
and the Secret Service follow-up car departed Love Field at 3:35 local
time and arrived Andrews AFB at 8:05

I seem to remember you guys saying exactly the same thing about the DPD
tapes. Then we fought to get the HSCA and they found the tapes and
scientists were able to detect the shots which can not be heard. Why do
you always argue in favor of the cover-up? Just release ALL the files.

Not completely true. I remember reading somewhere that some of the
morning spectators at Love Field remained on site to witness the
President's departure. There was certainly no reason to remove them from
their previously approved viewing location, especially since the majority
of them had probably left.

My Gratitude to David & Lanny for taking the time to respond & the info
shared. Perhaps the Sixth Floor museum will post oral histories of people
that went Love Field to see the JFK & LBJ entourage depart Dallas or
they'll put something up at YouTube individually. New info continues to
come out; I viewed a YouTube video recently where Sheriff Deputy Eugene
Boone revealed he encountered a porter cleaning one of the two parked
passenger train cars near the back of the grassy knoll stockade fence &
came close to shooting the man. This gives us another person that was in
that area besides Lee Bowers & the 2 men he observed during the shooting.

From what I've been reading at Jeff Morley's website commenters are more
concerned with the edited portions of the AF-1 tapes than they are with
the dialog that is available. According to their comments, what is missing
is dialog between AF-1, the White House Situation Room & the Cabinet plane
with & between the Pentagon. It was announced within the last year by the
NSA that the Pentagon possessed approved contingency plans entitled
'Furtherance' that called for an immediate nuclear strike against both the
Soviet Union & China in the event the sitting President was either killed
or suddenly became missing. Questions concerning what was holding back the
SAC commanders & the Missile attack system commanders from deploying in
accordance with the mission plans of 'Furtherance' & why there is no
dialog to and from the Pentagon about Furtherance on the AF-1 tapes. It's
been suggested scrambled messages to & from the Pentagon were excised out
of the tapes for national security reasons by some commenters at Mr.
Morley's website.

If David & Lanny have been following the nucleus of Doug Horne's theory
that SS agents played a shell game with JFK's body on AF-1 & desecrated it
by stashing JFK's corpse in a cargo bay so that it could be quickly
choppered to Bethesda without the knowledge of Jackie & others in her
party you must be aware that Horne alleges Clint Hill & others did this
sordid deed during the time frame that Jackie was cleaning up in a
restroom onboard AF-1 & the LBJ swearing in took place. Horne rejects the
idea other aircraft were involved in transporting JFK's body out of Dallas
but has shown commenters no evidence he knows all there is to know about
all in and out air traffic handled by Love Field 22 Nov 1963 nor is he
open to suggestions that JFK was flown out first by the C-130 or AF-2,
landed somewhere unknown & JFK's body was transferred to a 'phantom
flight'. Just because I am informing you both of this does not mean I
agree with any of it. The public is seeing this now at Greg Burnham's
website, at Doug Horne's blog and it most likely will appear in an
upcoming book. The public is getting a look at it early.

I have seen some comments that the arrest of Oswald sucked in all the
media attention, yet I believe that Dallasites would have returned to
inside or outside Love Field to see the history flight out of AF-1. Who
knows, perhaps some of Doug Horne's morbid shenanigans was witnessed?

I was looking for any indication the public was told to stay away from
Love Field and where the full day's DPD recordings might be. Like most
major police operations, the recording of police transmissions is 24
hours, not just the brief section the public has looked at & listened to
over the years. I'm wondering where the rest of ambush day's recordings
are & how they can be obtained.

Than you again for the info you both shared.

I read somewhere on this forum that information was being sought about the
C-130 & its crew that flew JFK's touring car & the Queen Mary from Dallas
Love Field to Andrews Air Force Base. I ran across a wealth on info here
in Google Groups:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.assassination.jfk/7v4Qe6Va0Bc

According to Mr. Palamara, there were 9 persons onboard C-130 tail #12373,
2 being secret service agents (Sam Kinney & George Hickey). The aircraft
belonged to the 76th Air Transport Sqdn, Charleston Air Force Base, South
Carolina. The pilot was one Capt. Roland H. Thomason. Mr. Palamara states
the names came from Sam Kinney's copy of the flight manifest that were
furnished by Sam Kinney in a private interview with Mr. Palamara. Nothing
indicated about spectators at Love Field or prohibitions to keep
spectators out of the area.
