"According to the report, Dallas police responded
to a complaint by Mary E. Bledsoe, who said two men
were fighting in her rooming house at 621 N.
Marsalis. After police arrived, two men were taken
into custody for disturbing the peace. According to
the report, the pair were J.R. Rubenstein of 1203
1/2 Commerce and Alek Hidel of the Marsalis
address. Police reported that nothing was missing
-- only damage to a bed, chair and TV set."

Here is Dave Perry's 1994 evaluation of the "Rubenstein/Hidel [sic]"
altercation:

It's interesting to note that Perry didn't even mention the fact that the
name "J.R. Rubenstein" in the alleged police "report" doesn't even match
Jack Ruby's (aka Jacob Rubenstein) initials. Ruby's/Rubenstein's middle
name didn't begin with an R. It began with L (Leon).

The researcher Dave Perry says he exposed the report - called the "Bledsoe
document" - as a hoax/fraud. It was a fake police report created in 1966
and reportedly sent to Mark Lane as a trick.
