I'm curious as to how he established the seconds. I know the clock on the
Hertz sign above the TSBD was showing 12:30 when the first shot was fired.

It is my belief that there were approximately 160 Zapruder frames from the
first shot to the last which translates to 8.74 seconds so his total time
frame seems about right to me.

I think witness James Tague said it was showing 12:31.

If J.C. Bowles is correct, it would have changed to 12:31 five seconds
after the first shot so that's might be when Tague noticed the time.

Good find, David. Yes, the Hertz clock could have been off. That leaves me
still curious about the Bowles claim in the OP. How did he establish the
precise seconds of the shooting. It also invalidates the statement by
Tague that the Hertz clock showed 12:31 at the time of the shooting. It
also illustrates how witnesses can and do jumble up the sequence of events
in their memory banks. That shows we can't put much stock in when Tague
remembered being struck on the cheek.

Why can't it be part of a conspiracy theory? Maybe it had a hidden
compartment to conceal the REAL shooter.
The one I liked best I made up many years ago was the concealed shooter
inside the Dry Cleaner's van under the tarp on the roof. That angle
works out perfectly for a SBT du jour if you think the back wound was at
T-3.

Well, you guys are ASSuMING that the first thing everyone does when shot
is check the exact time. So maybe he wasn't wearing a watch so he chose
to look up at the Hertz sign. Then maybe you can say the Hertz sign was
part of the conspiracy.
