That's quite an article. The followup comments by CTs and DVP's replies
are always entertaining. See Kevin trying to appear learned about the case
by arguing solely what he has apparently picked up from CT authors who
have provided him with no evidence nor the ability to think critically.
His statements should be embarrassing to CTs.

Thanks Boz, and Steve, and DVP. Mark

Mark and Boz (and anyone else)....

I perpetually find myself engaged in a "Fix Stuff That's Broken On My
Websites" mode nearly 24/7/365 in recent years, so I'm wondering if you
can answer a question for me about that "Dictabelt" search link that BOZ
posted in the first post....

When you first clicked that link, did it immediately send you to a point
near the bottom of that page? I'm guessing that it did, because that's a
permanent glitch that exists whenever I embed an audio file that comes
from the file-sharing site "Box.com" (which is a site I love, except for
this hateful habit it has of treating all "embedded" files as "anchor"
links on any given page, which is very aggravating to me as a regular user
of Box.com for my audio material).

Anyway, I'm just curious to know if *other* people (besides me) are
experiencing that spiteful "Pull Down" glitch that has existed with
Box.com files for at least 7 consecutive years now (despite my repeated
complaints that I have voiced to that website; but they just refuse to
repair it for some curious reason).

In any event, I've fixed those glitches on that "Dictabelt" search page
myself, by removing the embedded Box files and replacing them with
re-direct links instead.

After making many efforts over the years to "fix" all of those "Box"
pull-down glitches, I see I still haven't managed to locate them all (as
Boz's link above proves).

I'll occasionally enter a series of random search terms into the Search
Box at my JFK-Archives blog/site, just to see how many "Spiteful &
Severely Annoying Pull Down" glitches I need to fix on that given day. And
I'll usually find two or three (or 33).

Thanks for helping me find *five* more things to fix today, Boz.
😁

You've had code up for so long and you originally wrote it in HTML 4
which is now incompatible with HTML 5.

HTML 5 was first released in public-facing form on 22 January 2008,[7]
with a major update and "W3C Recommendation" status in October 2014.[2][8]
Its goals are to improve the language with support for the latest
multimedia and other new features; to keep the language both easily
readable by humans and consistently understood by computers and devices
such as Web browsers, parsers, etc., without XHTML's rigidity; and to
remain backward-compatible with older software. HTML 5 is intended to
subsume not only HTML 4, but also XHTML 1 and DOM Level 2 HTML;[9] the
HTML 4 and XHTML specs were announced as superseded by HTML 5.2 on 27
March 2018.[10]

Why don't you offer any evidence that you and your side are able to
think critically and act responsibly, Mark? The JFK Numbers challenges
would be the perfect play field.

Additionally, your response above is childish, quite senselessness.

Why on earth would any CTs be embarrassed by the actions of somebody else?

It is not like we have some blood brotherhood or anything of that nature.

Why on earth would any LNs be embarrassed by the actions of somebody else?

See below what I replied to The Deplorables who -like you just now-
wanted to make me feel embarrassed, about something done by a
Latino/Hispanic.

"Let's make an agreement: You do not hold me responsible for the actions
of 64 million Latinos and I do not hold you responsible for the actions of
all the Non-Hispanic whites in the US and the world. Do we have a deal?"

As we used to say when I was creating mailing lists and NGs in my days
at MIT:

"The problem with carrying one's eyes around is the stupidities that one
has to read."

Sheesh, man!

When I clicked on, it took me to the beginning of the page, "Debunking The
Acoustics (Part 2)."

You shouldn't sweat about things like this; you have a great site.

Makes me want to say: "Mom! David has better toys than I do!" Mark
