His anti-gay fervor seemed a driving force. And it wasn`t just a
political tool (strange that New Orleans would care about such an issue,
you`d think they`d have a tourist campaign of "Come Visit Our Gay Bars!"),
it seems it permeated Garrison`s thinking.
But this was a subtle attack on the leftist conspiracy mongers that
frequent this newsgroup. In general leftists favor false narratives and
victim identity, so I just saw this as a way to rattle their cages (I use
Oswald`s wife beating to the same effect. Of course if Howard Brennan beat
his wife rather than Oswald, "wife-beater" would appear in front of his
name every time he was mentioned). Tony uses "guilt by association"
tactics all the time, so this is just turnabouts, and it is fair play.
