Where any Secret Service agents on the rear bumper of JFK's limo at any
time while he was in Ft. Worth or Dallas?

Side note: Before anyone sends me a snotty, sarcastic response, I am well
aware no SS agent was on the rear bumper at the time of the assassination.

Clint Hill was on the back bumper prior to the limousine arriving in
Dealey Plaza. But he was keeping a very low profile to keep out of sight
as he had been instructed.

As you probably know, Clint Hill (SS agent) ran up to the bumper of the limousine and mounted the pedestal they used for standing on when they were allowed to. From that position he was able to push Jackie back down into the limo as it picked up sped and tore off to Parkland hospital.

An SS agent is pictured here being told NOT to ride on the pedestal or walk alongside the limo, and he was nonplussed at this change of the standard method of protection they often used:

The limo was never used in Ft. Worth. In Dallas, Clint Hill was on the
back of the bumper two or three times before the head shot.

Clint Hill road on the left rear bumper several times during the motorcade
in Dallas, and also immediately after the assassination.

C'mon people you can do better than that. Here are two shots of Clint
Hill on the bumper in downtown Dallas.

Here are three more photos showing Clint Hill on the bumper of the
President's car during the Dallas motorcade:

It makes me wonder why Hill's counterpart on the right side of the Secret
Service follow-up car (John Ready) was never photographed on the bumper
directly behind JFK? It seems that only Clint Hill, who was more in charge
of Mrs. Kennedy's direct protection, moved forward to SS-100-X when the
crowds got thick.

I suppose there are probably some conspiracy theorists who have made a big
thing out of this topic, with the theorists possibly suggesting that John
Ready wasn't going to move off of his running board if his own life
depended on it on November 22nd.

There is the following testimony, however, given by Clint Hill which does
indicate that John Ready's feet were not glued to the right front running
board of the Secret Service car. But as far as I know there is no picture
of Ready on the bumper of SS-100-X in Dallas:

CLINT HILL -- Between Love Field and Main Street, downtown Dallas, on the
right-hand side of the street there were a group of people with a long
banner which said, "Please, Mr. President, stop and shake our hands." And
the President requested the motorcade to stop, and he beckoned to the
people and asked them to come and shake his hand, which they did.

ARLEN SPECTER -- Did the President disembark from his automobile at that
time?

HILL -- No; he remained in his seat.

SPECTER -- At that time what action, if any, did you take?

HILL -- I jumped from the followup car and ran up to the left rear portion
of the automobile with my back toward Mrs. Kennedy viewing those persons
on the left-hand side of the street.

SPECTER -- What action was taken by any other Secret Service agent which
you observed at that time?

HILL -- Special Agent Ready, who was working the forward portion of the
right running board, did the same thing, only on the President's side,
placed his back toward the car, and viewed the people facing the
President. Assistant in Charge Kellerman opened the door of the
President's car and stepped out on the street.

After the head shot Ready had started to jump off, but was called back.

That was only when the limo STOPPED. SOP.

Very good. Can you tell me where the shots came from while the limo was
on Main Street? Maybe the Hotel Adolphus? Which room?

His answer was about DURING the shooting.

He wasn't on the back bumper going from Houston street to Elm. On Elm
he came from the 'Queen Mary' to the bumper and then to the pedestal after
the shots started. Hard to keep a low profile on the bumper or the
pedestal of the limousine. Check the Zapruder film (FWIW).

SA John Ready's statement (in part);

"Several times enroute the President's car stopped and the President shook
hands with the crowds. In the downtown, heavily congested, area of Dallas,
a teen-age male came forth from the crowds on my right side. I left the
follow-up car, chased the youth several yards before running him into the
crowds on the right side. We departed the downtown area and the crowds
diminished noticeably.

At about 12:30 p.m. we began the approach to the Thornton Freeway
traveling about 20-25 MPH in a slight incline. I was about 25-30 feet from
President Kennedy who was located in the right rear seat. I heard what
appeared to be fire crackers going off from my position. I immediately
turned to my right rear trying to locate the source but was not able to
determine the exact location.

At this time the U.S. Secret Service follow-up car seemed to slow and I
heard someone from inside this car say: ''he's shot". I left the follow-up
car in the direction of the President's car but was recalled by ATSAIC
Emory Roberts (Secret Service) as the cars increased their speeds. I got
back on the car and seated myself beside Mr. Roberts in the right front
seat. The cars proceeded to the hospital several miles distance."

Interesting. Are there any photos/films of him trying to get to the limo?

Yes, after the shooting started. He also rode on the back bumper before
Dealey Plaza.

That's NOT what the incident was about. What pedestal? You don't know
what you are talking about. The SS agents always walk next to the limo
until it gets up to speed.

What the Hell are you calling a pedestal? Don't make up your own kook

So unless you want to posit that he was told when to stay off the bumper
at this time there is nothing really here.

They were told to always stay off the back bumper.

There were footstands built into rear bumper. Maybe they call it
something else in your country. Look for pictures on Google.

The pedestal is the specially shaped part of the rear bumper where Hill is
standing in this photo. It nicely corresponds to the "hand grip" on the
trunk.
