Hello all,
Below are the comments of Deputy Director Weatherford regarding the Vietnamese street signs:
“PWE agreed to allowing the signs based on CM Nguyen going to Mayor Parker and requesting them. Based on this, in the past, PWE has stated that we would remove the signs if either requested by the sitting CM (Dr. Le in this case) after
advising the Mayor of the request or at the direction of the Mayor. I would note that Andy Icken has been involved with discussions with the Management District and there may be some type of agreement that the Management District and The Mayor’s Office may
have reached that would negate our ability to remove them.

Please note that I am sending this to you, my good friends at the ASNC, to clarify that Dr. Le cannot simply request for them to come down and it is so. We have requested a meeting with Andy Icken to further communicate our constituents
concerns and are waiting for a reply. I hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Best regards,
