Another Attempt to Discredit

Ms. Quattro,

We have many witnesses that told us that you are the mastermind behind this article as it is another one of your attempt to spread misinformation and discredit the good work that CM Le has done for our district.  Let me now explain your past attempts.  On inauguration day, January 6th, 2016, you protested outside the City's inauguration of CM Le's residency.  Then you reported this to the Chronicle.  Then the Chronicle through Mike Morris published an article in February 14th discrediting CM Le.  Then you filed a complaint against CM Le with the Harris County Attorney to open an investigation.  The County Attorney found no evidence of any wrongdoing of CM Le.  Then you filed a complaint to the Texas Ethics Board in February of 2017 complaining of our missed deadline by two weeks of our campaign finance report.  In addition, we have seen you so many times camping out in front of CM Le's house stocking him.  We have considered filing a restraining order against you.

This is another one of your attempts to discredit our office and our work.  Much of this article and its release date is not by accident.  You collaborated with Mike Morris on this since last February and trying to use my badging record to somehow show that I don't do my job is disingenuous.  What a convenient way to spin something that does not matter into a mud sling.  The City of Houston has flex-time policies and all of my work is within such policies.  I await the report of the City's OIG to clear this matter just like all your previous attempts to discredit us.

It is unfortunate that we have to deal with people like you who try to prevent us from doing our job.  I do make it a point not to have to deal with people like you.  We all have our tasks assigned and just because you don't see me in your meetings, does not mean I don't do my job.  You might have seen my staff who attends all your meetings.  As I declared in the past, until you start respecting CM Le and our office, then we would be happy to work with you to improve our district.

Alief District F Game Rooms/Cafés - Illegal Gambling  24/7

Why do we have so many illegal game rooms that are open 24/7 in Alief? We have illegal gambling video machines in gas stations, convenience stores and game rooms that are now being open with café or grill names.  Looks like one game room is closed by the police department and 2 new illegal game rooms are open in Alief.

I already requested an investigation to close a large number of illegal game rooms that are that are located in Bellaire, Beechnut, Bissonnet and from Wilcrest to Eldridge (Just follow the Vietnamese street signs).

I did receive a response from the police department and I was told that it takes a long time to close an illegal game room.

Personal observation during midnight and early hours of the morning in Alief:

*Massage parlors that promote prostitution are operating next to game rooms/café's

*Game Rooms/ Café's keep their doors locked and a door bell needs to be used in order to get in

* Free Beer served 24/7

*Security guards are parked outside of the Game Rooms / Café's

*In Alief from 2am to 4am, the Game Rooms / Cafés have people gambling, you can see cars parked outside

*Tinted windows are used to block internal view of the premises

Daniel, 

I'm sure this was an innocent oversight on your part:  you intended this email for "Ms. Quattro", but you posted it on a public message board.  Seeing how it was likely unintentional, I'm sure we can agree that it won't happen again, correct?  Your team is welcome to use the AliefLife mailing list to discuss your plans for our district and inform people of ongoing projects.  It's not available for personal attacks.

Ms. Quattro is obviously a very active and vocal member of our district.  And she's exercising the rights available to her with respect to protesting and complaint procedures.  We can't all agree on everything, but we live in a society of political rules and methods for addressing situations when constituents feel rules have been broken.

You suggest that dealing with people like Ms. Quattro, answering to complaints, and responding to Chron articles prevent you from doing your job.  And that you avoid constituents like Ms. Quattro.  Hopefully you realize these things are part of your job.  Participating in these activities do not prevent you and CM Le from from pursuing your policy goals.

However, posting a personal attack against a constituent in a very public forum will erode CM Le's confidence among everyone else reading your emails -- losing support among your voters will prevent you from achieving your policy goals.

Lastly, please send CM Le my personal regards.  I understand that his home was significantly damaged during Harvy, I hope he recovers quickly, as well as his fellow neighbors in Kingwood.

it is easy to call it an "oversight" ( clocking time as if at work while on an European cruise?) How is this justified? Any lower ranking employee would Be searching monster, but overlooked in an office where the boss sets the example at "working remotely" ...

How do we look police officers in the eye? city inspectors in the eye? Firefighters in the eye? Can they too clock time while sipping wine in overseas trips?

This whole thing is nauciating

I agree.  It is very shocking and nauseating when someone spreads misinformation without verifying the truth.  I was never on any European cruise.  Furthermore, any vacation that I did take was noted as a vacation.  I am shocked at these continued personal attacks on a public information forum.

It appears when I am forced to defend myself from false accusations, it's a personal attack.  When others attack me, they are exercising their rights.

Mr. Albert: we understand your frustration and do not blame you. Ms. Quattro can be intense in the pursuit of community initiatives, and for that she's earned the community's support. pls. Do as suggested by mr. Lippet below and concentrate on the issues (that plague district f) as oppose name calling and issuing veiled threats to constituyents (long-time community leaders) you clearly do not yet know. Certainly please don't clock time and charge the city when engaging in personality issues, as opposed to real issues - that plague district f [see above]. Please save your billable time to productive activity. Thanks.
