By the time today is over, 500 pets will have been spayed or neutered thanks to The Empty Shelter Project. 

This is the second year in a row the Alief Super Neighborhood Council has sponsored this program, so that means there are now 1,000 fewer pets in our area that will not be adding to the large number of strays throughout Houston.

The attached pictures show the setup for what I consider to be an unbelievably efficient process.  I have been told that this one day event costs The Empty Shelter Project $40,000.  If you agree that this is a very worthy cause, I am sure they would appreciate a donation to fund this, and future events.  They can be reached at https://www.theemptyshelterproject.org/services.

Between this free event and other low-cost programs, there really is no excuse for unexpected litters in the city of Houston.
