2017 Property Tax Statements Nearly 1 million property tax bills are in the mail and on their way to Harris County property owners.  Taxpayers should review their bills carefully to ensure the proper exemptions have been applied.  If an exemption has not been correctly applied, please contact the Harris County Appraisal District at www.hcad.org     We want to help if you sustained damage from Hurricane Harvey and cannot pay your property tax bill in full before the January 31, 2018 deadline.  The Tax Office offers a payment plan to disaster victims.  This allows you to make 4 equal payments without penalty and interest over a period of several months.  For further information, please visit www.hctax.net/Weather/HarveyResources   I encourage taxpayers to pay their property taxes on line before the January 31, 2018 deadline.  It's fast, easy and you will not have to wait in line!    Taxpayers may pay by e-check or by credit/debit cards at www.hctax.net     Pol.
