Today I tried to personally plead to C.M. Le's staff to please try and interest themselves, and learn more, about the pressing needs of the district "F" ("DF") community, and to try and better represent DF's collective interests at City Hall (instead of concentrating in their usual narrow special interests).  I tried to outline the many issues beseeching our DF community including water quality; sanitary sewer quality; health hazards, illegal dumping, community services etc. 

After a few moments of apparently talking into the void,  I was summarily and unceremoniously cut-off as this officer took a more important incoming call,  and I was left talking to myself......(behavior which was of no surprise to me having witnessed the public gang-up on our esteemed community heroes, organizers and leaders for many years of 12/13/16).

It is already a year and a half of CM Le's administration, and the assurances once received from CM Le's office of inclusive and effective representation (despite CM Le's out-of-district residence status) are hardly panning out with CM Le's office not even returning calls/emails....

Why have a Code of Ordinance, and City Charter,  if no one will enforce the requirements?  Are they meant to be mere suggestions?   I'm tired of DF being a stepping stone for those with political ambition.   We are not being represented, and just don't know what else to do...

Mr. Gonzalez,

I am walking to a meeting scheduled with Council Member Le in the City Hall and you stop me in the middle of the hall way. I was very glad that you recognized me but was very surprised that keep accused Council Member Le and our office with many issues. When I ask you questions, you did not listen. You did not even let me address any issues you brought up.

During our conversation, Council Member Le called me on the cell phone to make sure I am at the arrange location so he can meet me, I asked you to wait for me but you walked away screaming that I am not respecting you.

Here is what I suggest you to do to assist us serving you better:

1. Please email me any concerns and issues that you need our office to assist.

2. I would like to set up a meeting with you to discuss all of yout concerns professionally one by one.

Again, I appologized if any misunderstanding on your end during our conversation and believe the next meeting will resolve all of that.

Thank you both for your service to the community and interest in making things right.

It sounds like the two of you have more to discuss, and a formal meeting can help resolve any misunderstandings of either party.  Much good can be accomplished in a face-to-face discussion while both parties maintain a spirit of cooperation, civic service, decorum and diplomacy.   Meanwhile, the remainder of a discussion about today's misunderstanding should take place privately, outside the AliefLife public mailing list.

We look forward to hearing the positive results of your successful meeting.
