SNA Delegates and Alternates,
The Super Neighborhood Alliance strongly encourages every Super Neighborhood Council to submit comments to this ordinance and to request extension of comment deadline. Please contact the Mayor's office, Director of PWE, and Council Members to request
an extension of the Chapter 19 Ordinance public comment/survey period, now set to close on Monday, February
19th at 5:00 pm. (Note this is a holiday, Presidents Day.)
This communication is not intended to discuss or debate the proposed
revisions, but to solely seek support for a reasonable comment/survey period
deadline of March 31st at earliest, allowing at least one month so that civic organizations have opportunity to meet, review and consider comments. A preferable position would be closing comment period post 2018 CIP meetings.
The current comment/survey period set
by the COH and the Mayor of 2 1/2 business days is woefully inadequate for an issue of this magnitude. The intended or
unintended consequences created by these revisions will be permanent and
warrant a reasonable period for resident review and contemplation.
Contact information for PWE, city council and mayor's office is below. Also attached i a link to the Proposed Revision Power Point presentation and the
actual "Draft Document."
